Leveling Expansion Clarifications
What completing an expansion actually means and why it is worth it: the stacking Hero's Resolution passives, the trophies that need eight expansions to fill your slots, and a 44 slot bag for killing named.
A follow up to the 100 to 130 guide, answering what "complete the expansion" actually means and why I draw the line at Call of the Forsaken. The short answer is stacking passive stats, bags, and trophies, and the reason the line sits where it does is that expansions before that point do not grant the Hero's passives. None of this is required. All of it is how you finish a character properly.
The Hero's Passives
Why the line sits at Call of the Forsaken.
- Hero's Resolution, Hero's Fortitude and Hero's Vitality are passive abilities granted for completing an expansion, and they live on the special AA tab.
- Each is worth 40 to every stat, plus extra health, mana and endurance regeneration.
- They stack, up to 114 ranks. A character with only 22 of them is already carrying 550 extra hit points and 220 attack.
- Expansions before Call of the Forsaken do not grant them, which is the whole reason I tell people not to bother completing those to 100%.
- Ring of Scale and Empires of Kunark do grant them, so those are not on the skip list.
- They come from Savior, which means all the mercenary quests plus the hero achievement.
How an Expansion Breaks Down
Using The Burning Lands as the worked example.
- Champion: every partisan and mercenary quest in the expansion.
- Paragon: every mission. This is also where Jann's VeilEverQuest
Jann's VeilLORE ITEM NO TRADESlotAMMOLevel1Weight0.3SizeSMALLClass: ALLRace: ALLEffect: Illusion Greater Jann (Clicky)Any Slot / Can Equip, Casting Time 1.5, unlimited charges comes from. - Burninator is the overarching one, and it needs both Champion and Paragon, which is what earns the mount.
- Challenger: all the mission achievements, which grants player flags and unlocks the proc addition on that expansion's augment.
- Slayer: kill enough named for a 44 slot bag and a title.
- Raids are the hard tier and mostly hand out ornamentations and augments.
Jann's Veil is the best illusion buff in the game at 110, with nothing better before or after it. It stacks with everything and only a worn effect will dispel it.
Collections and Trophies
The reason to go all the way back.
- Collections give a 42 slot bag and, more importantly, the expansion trophy.
- The Burning Lands trophy carries about 75 spell damage and heal amount plus roughly 50 heroic stats.
- You start with four trophy slots, found under Shift+I.
- Trophy Collector has four ranks, taking you to eight slots total.
- Eight slots needs eight expansions: Burning Lands, Torment of Velious, Claws of Veeshan, Terror of Luclin, Night of Shadows, Laurion's Song, Outer Brood and Shattering of Ro.
- So a maxed character goes back to Burning Lands and does every collection from there forward.
Doing It Efficiently
At 130 most of this is trivial.
- Slayer content is 110 level material, so a 130 character solos it without much trouble.
- Hunter raids are the fast way. A guild raid spreads out killing named and everyone gets credit regardless of which zone they are in.
- Many missions solo at 130, though not all of them.
- The sub achievements just give AA, so they are worth doing while you are there anyway.
- Your bank ends up all 40 slot bags, which is a real quality of life gain on its own.
- The stories are good, which is the honest non-optimisation reason to go back.
What to Actually Complete
- Complete expansions from Call of the Forsaken forward.
- Do not skip Ring of Scale or Empires of Kunark. They grant Hero's passives too.
- Chase Savior for Hero's Resolution, Fortitude and Vitality.
- Champion is partisans and mercenary quests.
- Paragon is missions, and gets you Jann's Veil.
- Slayer is a 44 slot bag. Use a guild hunter raid.
- Collections give bags and the trophy.
- Take Trophy Collector to four ranks for eight slots, then fill them.

Hello and welcome to Neverquest guide or more or less a clarification on something I said in the 100 to 130 video. I talked about things that are worth doing after you know, a certain point, right? And completing expansions is one of the things I talked about completing expansions past Call of the Forsaken for example is what kind of where I was leaning towards, right? And you can see here if I do the hero of Kor-Sha Laboratory, I’m going to get this hero’s resolution, right? This passive ability increases my total uh and maximum strength, stamina, agility, dexterity, wisdom, blah blah blah, right? By 40 points, right? So, I get 40 points of stats. I get extra health, I get extra mana, I get extra endurance regeneration and stuff like that. Now, this stacks. If you look at your special AA tab, you’ll see that you have hero’s fortitude, hero’s resolution, hero’s vitality. They go up to 114. You can see right here, this character who had does not have a lot of stuff done has 22 of these things. And he is currently at 550 extra hit points. And we look here, we get an extra 220 attack power plus we’re getting an extra, you know, a bunch of stuff here, right? Now, uh this kind of the reason why I say it’s not really worth completing everything before the before Call of the Forsaken 100% because you’re not going to be getting those and you’re going to be spending a lot of time getting all of these other expansions 100%. Uh and I highly I highly highly recommend, you know, you look through all the achievements and kind of see, right? Like if we go to Burning Lands, it’s got the same thing, right? It’s you got the the overarching achievement and then you got the Burninator, right? This is going to give you the the mount, right? These are the things I’m talking about when I say complete the expansion. So, to complete the this to get Burninator, you have to get the champion and the paragon, right? The champion right here is pretty much doing all of the partisans and mercenary quests in this expansion and the paragon is doing all of the missions. Now, the paragon also includes Jean’s Veil, which is another reward. This is the the best illusion buff you can get in the game uh at the one, you know, 110, right? There’s nothing better, there’s nothing before this or after it, right? Stacks with everything. The only thing that dispels it is uh worn errors. >> [laughter] >> So, it is nice, right? And then challenger, right? This is another one. This is doing all the mission achievements. You get you’re going to get player flags, which gives us this uh ability to convert gems. Now, let me see if I have one on me. This one maybe not. I don’t have one on me. Uh when you get an aug from an expansion, it’s going to, you know, in previous expansions like there was, you know, augs that do procs and stuff like that. They got rid of those and they’re all uh the same kind of aug that you can get and you can just click in that aug once you do the achievement to unlock the proc addition to whatever the stats were on that. So, it’s definitely, you know, that’s another thing worth doing. And then if we get down here into the slayer, right? The slayer gives you a chest. It’s a 44 slot chest for just going through and killing a bunch of named. Now, if you if you time it right and you, you know, have friends that you can make where your your guild is doing a uh hunter raid is what they what they’re called is where, you know, a bunch of people just go out and kill named in a raid. Anybody in the raid will get credit no matter what zone they’re in. So, people are doing that. This is 44 slot bag for doing >> [music] >> you know, 110 level content. At 130, you can solo all of those, right? So, pretty easy. You also get a a title and stuff like that. Now, the raids, those are a different thing. They’re a harder to complete. I can’t really solo these uh for the most part. >> [music] >> Uh but they do hand out uh this one hands out ornamentations. Some of them hand out augs. Uh it just depends. But then we get into the collections, right? So, the collections is where it really gets a little interesting because the collections gives bags. This is a 42 slot bag, but you’re also getting the trophy. Uh it’s not the right button. There we go. The trophy in the Burning Lands trophy is 75 or 75 spell damage and heal amount about 50 heroic stats. Now, in the tribute video, I talked about how getting all the trophies is worth it because depending on how many trophy slots, right? If we hit uh was it shift I trophies, right? My personal trophies would go here and I, you know, I think I have like four slots by default. And if I do the achievements in I believe it’s called Forsaken collection scavenger. Yeah, so trophy collector, right? One additional uh trophy, right? Now, if we go here to the AAs and so that’s called AA trophy collector, right? So, keep that in mind. Uh trophy collector, there’s four ranks of that. So, that means I can probably have uh I think it’s eight at the end of it, right? Eight trophies total. So, that means you’re going to want to complete uh you know, Shattering the Row, Outerbrune, Lauren’s Song, Night of Shadows, Terror of Luclin, uh Claws of Veeshan, and Torment of Velious. I think that’s eight, right? Oh, and Burning Lands. So, you’re going to want to go all the way back if you’re 130, all the way back to Burning Lands and complete all the collections and everything else to maximize your character. Now, you do need any of this? No. You don’t you do not need to do any of this. But if you want to maximize your character to the fullest extent that you possibly can, going back and getting all those trophies from doing all the collections is going to do that, right? You’re also going to pick up bags and stuff along the way. Your your your bank is going to be literally all 40 slot bags by the time you’re done. So, something to consider and, you know, something to do while you’re leveling up. Now, uh does that mean don’t do Ring of Scale? Don’t do Empires of Kunark? No, it does not because they still give the uh hero’s resolution and wherever it’s at. I don’t know I don’t know where it’s at on these these uh achievements where you find the hero’s vitality and stuff like that, but it’s it’s somewhere. There’s familiars also you can get. Maybe it’s in the conquest here, savior. There we go. There they are. Savior. Uh so, if you do the savior, which is the all the mercenaries plus the hero, right? Uh that means you completed the uh the zone, you will get the hero’s vitality and fortitude. Now, each of the little sub achievements here for doing different things in the mission just give AAs, which if let’s be real, if you’re 130 and you go back, you can solo solo some of these missions without much effort, right? Some you cannot, but some you can. Uh don’t get me wrong. But uh you know, going all the back Now, these these have good stories, right? They’re all good stories for all these things. So, they’re worth doing in that regard, but uh going all the back way back here to Call of the Forsaken, >> [music] >> you can see uh what is it? Like where these ones come in at, right? Savior, you get your hero’s and vitality and this will just increase your stats and that’s your base stats, now. The cool thing about these AAs is they go over into your uh personas, right? You’ll know like when I create a new persona, he’s got like a thousand hit points, right? On uh Gnomeregard or Hamrick, right? Cuz they’ve completed a lot of the content. They’ve completed it all, but they’ve completed a lot of it to get to the point where they have all those extra stats. And it at that point it gets worth it to, you know, kind of just keep progressing your character. You mean you’re getting little bits of, you know, someone someone once said, you know, it’s a game of inches, right? And every little, you know, bit you can get to add more to it will make it so you’re stronger and you can complete more content, right? If you completed like all eight expansions, you have all the trophies, your character is going to be so much stronger, so much more, you know, stats than someone who has not done that, right? [music] You’re going to be able to solo things better, you’re going to be able to tank things better, you’re going to be able to do everything better because you’re going to have, you know, probably close to 4,000 heroic stats in whatever one you want, maybe even close to 5,000 heroic stats, which is going to make your character a phenomenal powerhouse. And that’s that’s what I’m talking about like when I when I say that in the in the video because like if we go here to Veil of Alaris, right? There isn’t really any of that stuff. Uh you get bags and stuff like that. You get a mount and you get uh an extra mercenary for this one. Uh but there’s no reward for that, no reward for that, no reward for all of There’s reward for that, which is a title, right? Uh this one’s going to give bags [music] and stuff like that. Going through all these, if we go to conquest, uh right here, you get a trophy. Preview that trophy, inspect. You know, it’s 35 AC five dodge, right? Those are nothing compared to what you get after that, right? Uh so, just something I wanted to clarify to kind of help uh you know, make make that make a little bit more sense. So, when I, you know, like you can do whatever you want in any of the expansions. You can play the game however you want. But if you want to maximize your time, I would definitely start at the [music] top and work my way backwards because theoretically, right? Like if you started on Shattering the Row today, uh by the time you get to, let’s say, Terror of Luclin, depending on how much you effort you’re putting into it, the next expansion’s going to be out. So, you can then skip Burning Lands and just do Torment of the Velious plus the new expansion. Right. That would theoretically get you the same eight trophies. So, you can think about however you want, you can do whatever you want, but you know, Burning Lands is definitely worth doing because of the James Veil. Uh and to do that, right, you have to I don’t think this character Yeah, this character doesn’t have it, but you have to complete all the missions to get the truck to get the James Veil. Uh which is it’s a good you know, like if you’re doing all the progres- all the progression required to do that. That is uh that’s a good two or two two three days of of work. You might be able to do it in less if you already have every all the you know, pre-requests done. Uh but some of them take a little while and you know, it gets it gets a little you know, fun cuz you’re you know, you’re uh you know, if you’re doing it at 130, right, you’re going to be able to solo most of it, but there might be some parts that might be tricky depending on the class you’re playing. So, uh bring a friend. Uh in fact, but probably would be smart if you brought like five friends and you did it as a group because then everybody gets it and uh you’re not wasting a slot there getting everybody that. So, it’s you know, it’s a nice little thing to do. Uh I don’t know how hard it is in era to do it in a day or two, but at 130 it’s pretty trivial. So, I just want to clarify that just to make sure that everybody understands what I actually mean because I did get a few questions on that and you know, not uh not explaining that is probably the problem I had. So, uh hopefully that helps. Thank you very much for watching and please have a fantastic day.
