Cazic Thule - SK / MNK / SHM - d4 - solo

Cazic Thule at difficulty four with Shadow Knight, Monk and Shaman, a 2 minute 44 second kill that is not my best time. Envenomed Bolt tops the parse at 68 DPS while my main hand does 33 because I keep standing out of range, and my verdict is that this is a very strong build that can take any dungeon on difficulty four once the gear is there.

Cazic Thule at difficulty four with Shadow Knight, Monk and Shaman. The fight is trivial enough that the parse is the interesting part: it took 2 minutes 44 seconds, which I do not think is my best time, and my damage is lower than in the other fights because he keeps interrupting me and I am not paying attention. Envenomed Bolt carries the damage while my main hand does very little, and the verdict at the end is that this is a very strong build with no restrictions at all.

Cazic Thule SK / MNK / SHM Difficulty 4 Summoned pet Near maxed AA
Kill time2 minutes 44 seconds
Envenomed Bolt68 DPS, my best line
Main hand33 DPS
Pet71 DPS

The Setup

Barely changed since the last video.

  • Gear is nearly the same as in almost every video. I have not put resources into it. Blood Moon at plus 10 is probably the only thing that has changed since last time, though I am not sure I did not change it back.
  • I still wear the plus one shoes and a bone clasp. Almost everything is basic.
  • The healing choice is deliberate. People say Superior Healing is better, but I prefer the heal with the higher healing rate, because it can give a bigger critical effect. I do not care much about mana.
  • Cannibalize at rank five keeps mana a non-issue. I never run out during these fights.
  • Plague is a weaker dot that lasts longer, a minute and 18 or a minute and 42, since the captions give both. Odium is the other strong dot, 42 seconds for 280 mana.
  • Spirit of the Puma is on my list to take to rank ten. People say it adds a little duration and damage, and I am still thinking about it.
  • Roots is on the bar only for the bees in Plane of Sky. I use one spell bar for everything because I am too lazy to keep several sets.
  • The pet is the rank eight summoned one. A rank or two more gets it another level, which I think is what lets it use the area weapon effects like Earthquake.
  • Chloroplast is there for stamina regeneration, which this build needs a little of. I apply it and Spirit of the Puma before the pull.
  • My AA are almost maxed. The only thing left is the craft skills, which I do not care about.

The Fight

Slow him, rotate the dots, then melee.

  • The slow landed first. After that, a second debuff took two casts before it held, and I swapped to another line in between when I started taking damage.
  • I healed with the life tap and kept the heal in reserve. I did not want to waste the tap on mana, so I used the heal when I needed it.
  • Envenomed Bolt, then Plague, then close combat. That is the whole opening.
  • His group is a Monk, a Shadow Knight and a Wizard, as I read the captions. He throws ice comets, and the main problem is healing in time before he runs out of mana.
  • Halfway through I was fine. He was at 62% health and I was at 69% mana, with Cannibalize running the whole time.
  • Harm Touch was on its recharge, so I used a damage over time touch spell instead and kept refreshing Envenomed Bolt and Odium.
  • Plague ran out near the end, so I refreshed it. At 13% it was not that important anymore, but I refreshed everything so he would finally die.
  • I was under a big potion that was about to wear off, and my damage shield potion was already gone, since I used it on lower level mobs. It did not matter.
  • The loot was the Earthcrafter and another soul leech, plus a large piece of something, a chest and one more item that the captions garble.

What the Parse Says

The dots carry it and the melee does not.

  • 2 minutes 44 seconds, against 57 seconds when I killed him on difficulty zero for the collection items. This one was not my best time.
  • Envenomed Bolt leads at 68 DPS, and Odium follows at 59.
  • Drain Spirit did 45 DPS across 15 casts, which I think is a pretty good way to do a lot of damage.
  • The main hand slashing weapon did only 33 DPS. Part of that is me standing too far away and being too lazy to step back into range. I think a mob that can hit me should be hittable by me, and I call that a hitbox problem.
  • Plague did less damage but still shows on the panel, and it did more than Spirit of the Puma because I was often out of range.
  • The pet did only 71 DPS, and I do not know why it was lazy today. It did more with the Puma than usual, even though Cazic Thule may have higher defense.
  • Hit rates: I hit about 65% and he hit about 65%, I missed 29% and there were few ripostes. Spell crits were 8% and dot crits 12%, which looks normal.
  • The gaps are mine. The timeline shows a hole in Envenomed Bolt and a missed Odium, both from bad play and from talking instead of watching the screen.

What Hit Me, and the Missing Slow

The parser disagrees with my memory.

  • The proc on his weapon was the second biggest source of his damage. If you could disarm him it would probably lower his damage a lot. I mention doing it with feign death, though the captions are not clear how.
  • The parser shows no slow on him at all. I am sure I slowed him, and my best guess is that they changed the spell numbering and the parser needs an update.
  • I will go back and watch the video to confirm. Until I do, treat the slow as unconfirmed, not as shown.
  • Keep the slow up all the time if you can. Mine expired and I reapplied it, and doing it that way risks getting killed.
  • Fighting him without a slow would be a different matter, though it was not that bad even so.
  • Overall I think it was a pretty good fight.

Why I Like This Build and What Comes Next

No restrictions, and I am a little bored of leveling videos.

  • This is a strong build and a very interesting one. You can go through all of the content, with no restrictions at all.
  • You could stay in the Plane of Hate and kill rage golems for days, and collect as many motes as you want.
  • There are no enchanted pets to worry about. You can feign death when you get bored or need to step away.
  • Once you have some gear you can finish any dungeon in the game on difficulty four, and go through all the planes effortlessly.
  • The next build is Warrior, Shaman and Necromancer. People say it is fire, and I hope to see different numbers.
  • After that I will level the Necromancer, and when the Warrior, Shaman and Necromancer are done I will build a pet group: a Mage, a Beastlord and a Necromancer together. I am told it will be a difficult build, but from the toolset I expect to kill everything on difficulty four with it.
  • I do not know how I will do the leveling videos. It feels like the same thing over and over, back in Guk and back in Unrest, so I need to think about it.
  • I may try the group versions of these fights, to see how far the solo setup gets.

Cazic Thule at Difficulty Four

  1. Apply Chloroplast and Spirit of the Puma before the pull.
  2. Land the slow and keep it up. Reapply it when it drops.
  3. Open with Envenomed Bolt and Plague, then close for melee.
  4. Keep Envenomed Bolt and Odium refreshed. The gaps are where the damage goes.
  5. Heal with the life tap and keep the heal for when you need it.
  6. Stay in melee range, or the main hand does 33 DPS.
  7. Keep Cannibalize running. Mana was never the problem.

Hello and welcome to Kazakth, difficulty level 4, solo for Shadow Knight, Monk and Shaman. It seems that’s what we’ll be playing with today. We’ll start in a moment. I just want to review a few pieces of equipment. So we have Blood Moon 10, Woos 10. The rest of it is pretty much the same as in almost every video . I didn’t really invest any resources or anything . I still have the +1 shoes. That is, it doesn’t really matter. And we have a bone clasp, quic. Yes. So almost everything is basic there. I think Blood Moon is probably the only thing that has changed since the last video. I may have changed it back in that video. I’m not sure. Regarding spells: we use drain spirit, slugs, dispel, and kgs solve. People say superhero treatment is better, but it has a higher healing rate. And for me, the healing rate is more important because it can give a higher critical effect, you know? I don’t care too much about mana. I have cannibalize 5. Plus I never run out of mana during these fights. Inevitability at its peak. Oh, what was that? 10. Denial of life. It never works. It needs to be improved, but it’s here because it’s a spell, and I had nothing else to put. To the roar. I should probably raise it to 10 to increase the chance of resistance, but you know, there was no need, right? It’s like a plague. This is a DOT with less damage, but it lasts for one minute and 18 or one minute and 42 seconds. So it’s quite useful to have. I have “roots” here, I literally just use this one spell bar for everything, you know? And I only use “roots” in the Sky Plan to divide the bees. So that’s the only reason it’s here, I’m just too lazy to have multiple spell sets. Malo, this is great for reducing drag. Odium, this is our, you know, another powerful DOT. That’s pretty good. Currently 42 seconds for 280 mana. Not so bad. Uma, that’s what I was thinking of raising all the way to 10. People say it would increase the duration and damage a bit. I’m thinking about this. Another thing here is the pet. Eh, what level of pet am I using? This is the eighth. So if you raise it to level 9, 10 , it gets , you know, another level, right? So, this is 44 . So he will be able to activate AOE weapons and things like that from ” earthquake”. And I also have “chloroplast” to support stamina regeneration, because this build needs a little of it. Okay, so what we’re going to do—we’re going to pre- apply ” chloroplast” and ” puma spirit” and let’s get started. I’m constantly asked in the comments: what kind of equipment do you have, and so on. I have almost maxed out AA. The only thing left are craft skills, which I’m not really interested in. So, what AAs do I have? They are all there. Well, I have everything. Well, at least everything that matters. OK. So, we’ll tighten it up with “enhanced defensive channel” and ” slow down”, right? The ” slow down” worked. Now let’s move on to “Little”, right? And right after “Little” works—although it doesn’t, I’ll move on to “Snails ,” because you see, we started taking damage. Let’s try to apply “Little” again. Got the condition again. Oh, now it worked. OK. Now we will use ” life draining” to heal ourselves. I have a “treatment” right here. So we’ll use it as soon as we can. But first, let’s move on to the “invent bolt.” OK. We will use “treatment” because we don’t want to waste a lot of ” life-sucking”. And then, uh, yes, “plague.” It seems to have worked. Okay, perfect. Now we just have to fight in close combat, right? See, we have…oh, who’s that here? We have a monk and a wizard. Ovva, monk, shadow knight and wizard. So, it’s going to be a bit of a heated battle, if I may say so. So you see, he throws a bunch of “ice comets ” and stuff. We just need to have time to heal before he runs out of mana. Which, in fact , is the main problem. I’m under a big potion right now, but it will wear off soon. And I think my damage shield potion is already gone. I used it when fighting those of lower level. So I’m not really worried, right? Because he has 62% health , and I have 69% mana and ” cannibalization”, right? It’s like I’m processing snails. Well, you want the slugs to work all the time, right? Well, this one should probably be raised to level 10 too. But I haven’t done it yet. I don’t think it increases healing much, but it reduces mana costs and all that. So they are good. It looks like Harm Touch just rolled back. So we’ll use ” Touch of Damage”, it’s a good dot. I will rework Invenom Bolt and Odium. Make sure they are always working. We’ll look at the logs soon and you’ll see where I’m missing out because I’m talking and, to be honest , I’m not even looking at the screen. This is how I play. Yes, we have…what kind of nonsense is this? ” Sickening plague” . Okay, the plague is passing, so let’s update it. Well, he’s almost dead. 13%. So it’s not that important anymore, but you know, let’s update everything so that he finally dies. That’s it. Oh, they killed it, but that’s it. Cossack 4, difficulty four. It is carried out. Completely removed. So, what did we get? We got the Earthcrafter. A large clot, a chest, another farmer, and another soul leech. So, let’s look at the logs, because I feel like that’s the most important thing, because the battles are so trivial. Okay, D4 collision. I missed all the others. I was only doing D0 to collect items for the collector, but I killed that one in 57 seconds. This one took 2 minutes 44 seconds, I don’t think it’s my best time. We’ll have to see. I don’t have all the data loaded right now, I’ll have to go back and check. You can see here that the DPS is a bit lower than Enro and the others, but that’s because he keeps interrupting and I’m not paying attention. But Invenom—68 DPS. Our main-hand slashing weapon only has 33 DPS. So, we deal much less damage in close combat. Part of it is because I’m standing here, you know? But for close combat you have to get closer, and I’m lazy and don’t always get back into attack range to strike. So, to me, this is a problem with the hitbox that needs to be fixed, right? If a mob can hit me, I should hit it too, right? This is basic game design, right? And it should have been fixed, but, you know, people probably say it’s okay. Odium 59 DPS. Dream Spirit, our life selection, 45. 45 DPS. Now, how many of them did I actually use ? 15. So, not bad. Yes, 15. Just there too. So, you know, that’s a pretty good way to do a lot of damage, right? Plague. Sure, the damage is a little less, but it’s still on the panel, right? She did more damage than Puma because I was often out of range. My pet only gave out 71 DPS. I don’t know why he’s being lazy today, but he did more damage with Puma than usual, even though Kazak may have higher defense. I don’t know how to calculate a mob’s armor. I don’t know the formula, but we had an 8% critical hit chance. The chance of hitting was 65%, Kazak also had 65%. We missed 29%, and there were not many repost blocks, right? It’s not even worth considering, honestly. Regarding DOT, the critical chance is 12%, which looks quite normal. The next build I’ll try is a warrior, a shaman, a necromancer, maybe we’ll see other numbers. They say this build is just fire. Therefore. But let’s look at the timeline. You see the gap in Invent Bolt here, that’s my bad play. And another Odium miss, that’s my fault too. To be realistic, right? We had it , let’s see. There were issues with Malow overlay and it seemed to be slowing down. I don’t see a slowdown here. Where is it? I don’t see him. Was he unslowed the whole time? This can’t be true. Uh-huh. I really do n’t see him. I’ll have to go back and watch the video. I don’t know. I’m sure it was slowed down, but I don’t see it, maybe it’s just not there. I don’t know. But let’s assume that there was a slowdown somewhere. Well, not so bad, right? Well, snail treatment. We supported this. We quickly activated it, then it expired, and we applied it again . Ideally, you should keep it on all the time . Just to make sure you don’t get killed. Oh, if we were fighting him without slowing down, well, that’s a whole different matter. But, you know, it’s not that bad. Overall, I think it was a pretty good fight. Let ‘s take a look here. Let’s look at the incoming damage. It seems that the most, that is, the proc on his weapon caused the second most damage from him. So if we could disarm him, it would probably lower his DPS significantly. But in the end, it didn’t matter much . So that’s pretty crazy. Yes. Crushing blows. So if we could disarm him, you know, if you have a problem with him holding a stick, disarm him, FD. Disarm it via FD until it comes out . Well, that’s all I can say. I’m still, I’m still shocked. I must be blind because I can’t see it here. Let me check because I know I slowed him down last time. I want to be sure. Uh, I do n’t see that here either. Oh, you know what? They changed the way spells work. They changed the spell numbering system. So maybe it’s not recording the slowdown because I need to update the parser. Maybe so. But let’s try. I know I slowed him down. No, the insect is right here. So, I guess I fought him without slowing down. Yes, I do n’t see it. OK. So, theoretically, it was slowed down. Theoretically, but I’ll have to watch the video. He must have been slowed down. The parser just didn’t record it. But you know, it’s not that bad, right? This is a strong build. This build, you know, is very, very interesting. You can definitely have a good time playing with this build. You will be able to go through all the content. You can go to the Plane of Hate and just kill rage golems for days. Get as many mods as you want. You won’t have to worry about enchanted pets. You can pretend to be dead when you get bored and want to, for example, go to the toilet or something. You have no restrictions at all in this build. You can complete any dungeon in the game on difficulty 4 once you get some gear. You can go through all the plans effortlessly. This is a very strong build. Now we’ll try some other builds. I don’t know how I’m going to go about pumping them. I don’t know if I’ll make a video about legendary adventures where I level up. It just feels like it’s the same thing over and over again. So I’m a little bored thinking: oh, we’re back in Guck. Hooray. We’re back in Unrest , right? So, I’ll have to think about how to do it. But we’ll level up the necromancer, and then we’ll make a pet keeper when we finish the warrior, shaman, and necromancer. We will make a mage , a beastlord, and a necromancer at the same time . And I’m told this will be a difficult build, but I’m pretty sure we can easily kill everything on D4 with this build, based on the toolset I see. But we’ll see. That’s all. This is the solo difficulty of Kazakthul. Maybe I’ll try the group options. Let’s see how far we can go in the group versions alone. But time will tell. Thank you very much for watching and have a fantastic day.
