Master Yael - WAR / BRD / SHM - d4 solo

Master Yael at difficulty four on Warrior, Bard and Shaman, run entirely in offensive and Empower. Envenomed Bolt alone is 36% of the damage, and the bard songs quietly hand over 6,000 more for no mana and no attention.

Master Yael at difficulty four with Warrior, Bard and Shaman, done in offensive stance and Empower from start to finish because nothing here demands otherwise. The parse is the reason to watch: Envenomed Bolt at rank ten is over a third of the damage on its own, the bard songs contribute 6,000 for no mana and no attention at all, and the melee that used to carry these fights is now third on the list.

Master Yael WAR / BRD / SHM Difficulty 4 Empower
Damage332 DPS, 77,000 mine and 11,000 the pet
Envenomed Bolt20,000, or 36% of the total
His healthUnclear, and he healed 6,000 of it back
Health regenMinus 36, under his debuffs

The Setup

Offensive and Empower, all the way through.

  • Empower for bigger dots and bigger heals, paid for in mana. On a fight this length that trade is clearly worth it.
  • Offensive stance the whole way. I run a lot of these in defensive out of laziness while recording; this one does not need it.
  • A summoned pet rather than a charm, specifically so it can be rebuffed. Charm is memorised and unused.
  • Shaman: Superior Healing, the heal over time, Envenomed Bolt, Togor's Insects, Plague, Odium, Spirit of the Puma and Malosi, though Malosi never actually got cast.
  • Bard: Chords of Dissonance, Jonthan's Provocation, Denon's Disruptive Discord, Cassindra's Chorus of Clarity and Selo's Chords of Cessation, all of it purely for damage.

What Yael Does to You

Two debuffs and a mana bar.

  • Health regeneration goes to minus 36 under his debuffs, against roughly a hundred normally. That is the fight's real pressure.
  • Do not bother curing Sha's Lethargy. The Beastlord AI spams it, and it lands again before a cure finishes. The cloak that allowed an instant recast was nerfed, so there is no answer to it any more.
  • He runs out of mana and so will you. Cannibalize straight into the heal over time when that happens.
  • He healed himself for 6,000 during the fight, which is worth remembering when the health bar seems to stall.
  • His health is anyone's guess. Between us we did about 88,000, 77,000 mine and 11,000 from the pet at 49 damage a second, and on camera the estimate runs from 98,000 down to 88,000 before settling on not knowing. Whatever it is, subtract the 6,000 he healed back.

Envenomed Bolt Carries It

Rank ten, and it shows.

  • 20,000 damage, 36% of the total, at a 12% crit rate with a 1,611 maximum crit.
  • If you can land it on something, that thing is dead. That is the short version of this build.
  • Odium second and Spirit of the Puma third, which puts three spells above every melee ability.
  • The direct damage component is negligible, averaging 58. The dot is the whole spell.
  • One Odium resist all fight, and I was not in Over Channel. It is not a rank ten spell yet, so it lacks the resist modifiers the higher ranks carry.

The Free 6,000

The best argument for keeping a Bard.

  • The area bard songs did almost 6,000 damage without costing mana or a single decision.
  • Crits around 300 on an area effect that is running regardless of what else you are doing.
  • Melee is third now. Dual wielding produced 12,000 and cleave another 4,000, against 20,000 from one dot.
  • Procs added 2,400, which is real but not decisive.
  • A single target class might beat this on bosses. A Shadowknight or Paladin focused build is the obvious comparison, and it is next.

Gear and Race

A choice worth making before level one.

  • Talisman of Altuna plus Infusion of Spirit, then strength and dexterity layered on top, which lands at 456 strength on 6,800 hit points.
  • An Ogre would be near 400 stamina and capped on strength. That is a real argument for the race when picking a combination, not a cosmetic one.
  • Burning Affliction III is missing and would lift every dot here. Whether it touches bard songs as well is an open question.
  • Improved Damage III is on, which is why Puma parses as high as it does.
  • A one-handed blunt is coming now that cleave is fixed with the Shaman version, along with a pet that is currently level five or six.

The Verdict

Stated plainly at the end.

  • Probably one of the strongest builds in the game, and no encounter so far has resisted it.
  • Four direct heals against twenty-one of the heal over time, which is the shape of Shaman healing in a fight like this. The parser does not make clear whether that twenty-one is casts or ticks.
  • The parser is being rewritten after the database work turned up bugs in its back end, so some of these counts will get sharper.
  • Defensive is always available if you would rather not pay attention, at the cost of the damage above.

Yael at Difficulty Four

  1. Summon a pet so you can buff it, and skip charm entirely.
  2. Offensive stance with Empower.
  3. Puma on the pet and yourself, and never let it lapse.
  4. Slow with the Shaman slow, not the bard song.
  5. Envenomed Bolt first, then Odium and Plague.
  6. Ignore Sha's Lethargy. It cannot be outpaced.
  7. Cannibalize into the heal over time when the mana goes.

Hello and welcome to Master Yale difficulty 4 solo with Warrior Bard Shaman. So today we’re going to knock this guy out on difficulty 4 and uh you’ll see how much of a joke it is. Well, I say that and then I’m going to probably get owned here. There we go. Let’s get this guy here first. All right, I am using the summoned pet. Oh, never mind. We got Yale already from uh just hanging out here. Um I’m using the summon pet instead of trying to charm one of these guys just so I can uh rebuff it. Right. Uh speed up the damage a little bit there. There we go. Let’s go ahead and dot this guy once. Dot this guy. So, I’m going to switch to here. I’m in offensive stance. And that already landed. Perfect. And we’ll go five and six. Let’s go ahead and turn the overlay on so you can see some damage here. Now I’m in empowered for bigger dots and bigger heals at the cost of more mana. I’m using superior healing, slugs healing, and venom bolt. Um, Togor’s insects. Let’s see here. Just want to make sure I retaught that. Uh, plague, odium, uh, I have charm up, but I’m not using it. Uh, Solon’s bewitching bara, spirit of puma, malasai, I didn’t even malow him. And then we have our standard bard layout here, which is chords of dissonance, Jonathan’s provation, Denon’s disruptive discord, and katana of soothing along with cellosh cords of cessolation. Now, those are just giving me free damage, and that’s what I use them for. I don’t use this for the slow since I have the shaman slow. Right, let’s get the slugs on us. And I think we need to refresh our dots. And looks like we’re going to be needing to refresh Puma here in a moment. And five, six. Now, uh, let’s see. You can see my health regen is atgative - 36 right now because we have so many uh debuffs on us but and we’re slowed which is one of the problems with this this version of him. Um typically I can get my health regen. It’s I think right now it’s about likeund and something. You see I have 6,800 hit points. I’ve switched to using Talisman of Altuna plus infusion of spirit and then I can redo strength and decks on top of that putting me at uh stamina and 456 strength. Now if I was an ogre uh I think I would have, you know, almost 400 stamina and I’d probably cap out on strength. Uh definitely uh something to consider there when you are uh you know picking your race combo. Now there’s literally no reason for me to even bother trying to uh cure this Shaw’s lethargy. The beast lord AI just constantly spams that on you. So, it’s just like whatever you do, unless unless they unnerf the cloak that let you instantly uh recast uh like it’s just like pointless because you’re this by the time you get it all off, it’s going to be back on like it we’re off there. So, he’s out of mana. So, just like that. Now, we are also out of mana. So, I’m going to cannibalize into a slug’s healing. All right, there we go. And we’ll finish this guy off here. Uh, looks like we lost Puma. Let’s go ahead and recreum minutes left on the fight here. There we go. Now, what do we have? We have 336 DPS so far is what we’ve been chucking with here. Now, my uh involt is 10, my plague is zero, and my odium is four. So, there we go. All right. So, we got an earth shaker, a tooth, and some sulfur. Let’s vain death, and pull up the logs here. All right, let’s refresh. There we go. Gale difficulty 4. So, my my DPS in offensive for the entirety of the fight was 332. I did 77,000 damage. My pet, which uh got flagged wrong here, let me let me uh do a pet leader real quick. That should fix I should fix that with a refresh theoretically or not. I don’t know. I got to fix that. Uh, but 332 the the pad only did 49 DPS. So, it’s not like anything to write home about. Uh, he did what? 11k total. So, it looks to be about 80k total. I fixing this in a thing right now, but doesn’t really matter. All right. Invincible 10 at 20,000 damage out of 12%. No, 36% of my damage there. I need to do uh percentage of total. I think that’ make a little bit more sense. 12% crit rate on that though. Odium followed up there and then Puma as the third in the spell group. Right now, you’ll see my melee damage dual wielding was uh you know, very little 12 12,000 versus that. So, it was like the third or second overall damage altogether, but uh in bolt does so much damage that if you can land in venom bolt on something, it’s pretty much dead. Uh just the fact of life there. Now, we did the whole fight in empowered and we did the whole fight in offensive. So, you we’re boosting our numbers as much as we can there. So, you know, you can see the 1611 max crit on invenom bolt is pretty nice. I do not have burning affliction three uh or some of the other affliction afflicting uh focus items. So, I could definitely see some improvement there if I were able to pick that up on these right there. Now, I do have improved damage three. So, my Puma’s Puma as most it can’t. Now, I’m not 100% sure if Bard songs are affected by the uh Burning Affliction Focus. If they are, uh I would expect to see a little bit there. You can see the almost a 300 crit on that one, which is pretty nice considering that is it’s an AoE free mana, right? Like 5,000, you know, almost 6,000 of my damage came from something I didn’t even have to think about, right? So, that’s pretty nice there. And then the direct damage from invenom bolt you know a little it doesn’t do very much damage what average 58 so you know you get that sometimes you get a crit you get like you know a few hundred but you know it’s not that much procs uh 2400 you know not a whole lot I am switching this up I already started leveling my dog it’s at like uh five or six as soon as I get that a little higher uh we’ll start start using that Plus the uh the one-handed blunt since they fixed cleave with that uh the shaman one. We’ll put a different proc on it there. Now, you know, just pure melee, you know, looking at this 12,000 damage just from slashing, 4,000 from cleave, which is not bad, right? But I I feel like we would see, you know, better damage uh if we focused, you know, had a more focused single target build on bosses like a Shadow Knight, maybe a Paladin. So, we’re going to be seeing some of that here pretty soon. I’m going to be leveling those. Uh you see here, I did four normal heals. Uh 21 cast of slugs healing. Jeez, I I tried to keep slugs up the whole time. So, I I don’t I don’t know if it was 21 casts versus 21 ticks. So, that’s something there I need to fix, too. I’m rewriting most of my uh my parser back end because I found some bugs when I was building my database site. Uh see here. Uh looks good. That’s good. So, we got a one resisted Odium. So, I wasn’t I wasn’t in over channel and it’s not a 10 rank spell, so it doesn’t have those, you know, massive resist modifiers and stuff like that. So, not too bad, right? Like, not too bad. I like it looks like he has I don’t think he has 100k hit points. I think he has 77 + 11. So, 78 10 98k No. 88k maybe. I just don’t know. So, that’s not too bad, right? Like this. You got to account for like the regen that the boss is going to have and if he healed himself during the fight and stuff like that. You can see here he healed himself for 6,000 during the fight. So, that means he was, you know, being able to do that. So, I think we’ll break some of this data up a little bit better in some other in the different uh versions of these. But, uh there we go. So, that is that is it. Oh there’s still two more up here. Um that is that is how I uh do this, right? It’s like just the fight. That’s the data. Uh it’s an overall the probably one of the strongest builds in the game. I have not found any encounter that this build cannot just steamroll. Um, and you know, obviously you go into defensive on some fights. Like I I do a lot of them in defensive just cuz I’m lazy when I’m recording, but it just depends on how you want to play and stuff like that. So, uh definitely uh you know, give it a shot if you uh want to try this build. But uh thank you very much for watching and please have a fantastic day.
