Befallen WAR / MNK / CLR 10 to 19
A full clear of the Befallen revamp from 10 to 19 on Warrior, Monk and Cleric. The keys and their three inconsistent rules, why you should bank your motes rather than spend them here, and what I learned about monks having never played one.
Ninety minutes through the Befallen revamp on Warrior, Monk and Cleric, levelling the monk from 10 to 19. This is the zone I intend to start in at launch: hit level five, come straight here, and farm it. Every named is always up on every difficulty, the keys are a small puzzle worth knowing in advance, and the single most useful piece of advice is about what not to spend your motes on.
Getting There
Four ways in.
- The East Commons zone line, against the wall at the southern end, with Freeport through the zone beyond.
- Halflings come via Rivervale and down through Kithicor Forest.
- Druids and wizards can port.
- Level five is the floor, and it is also the minimum to create an instance, so five is the number to reach before you set out.
- Getting to five is trivial in the Commonlands and the surrounding zones.
Do Not Spend Motes on Anything From This Zone
The most useful thing in ninety minutes.
- There are no placeholders here. Every named is always up, on every difficulty, so the only variable is which item you get.
- That makes the loot common, and common loot is exactly what you should not be pouring motes into.
- Save them for gear that matters later. This is the opportunity to bank motes, not spend them.
- The duplicates upgrade themselves anyway. Get an item, plus one it, and the next copy takes it close to plus two. You reach plus two or three very quickly just by playing.
- Difficulty zero rains the lowest tier motes, and one or two of those is a plus one. Do not feed higher tier motes in here.
The Keys, and the Shortcut
Three keys, three inconsistent rules.
- The Splintered Wooden Key comes off the first floor and opens the way to floor two.
- The Charred Bone Key must be held on you, and you click the key onto the door rather than the door itself.
- The Smoked Glass Key is temporary, so you re-acquire it every single visit.
- The first door only needs the key in your bag, which contradicts the others. I have no explanation for the inconsistency.
- Shadowknights carry the keys, one per floor, and unlike normal EverQuest they have no placeholder here and always spawn.
- The shortcut is the well next to the first named. Jump it and you land on the third floor, skipping everything.
- I do not recommend it. You still have to find and kill the shadowknights for the keys, and you arrive in a bad part of the zone.
A wish: put every key in the key ring. Spending bag space on keys is odd when everything else has a home.
The Level Curve Is Not Smooth
Two jumps to plan around.
- Zone-in is level 6 to 7, which is yellow if you arrive at five.
- The first named is 16, a shadowknight and mage, which is a real step up from the sevens around her.
- The bottom floor is level 20 to 21, all dark elves, and all red if you come down at 13 or 14.
- Go down at 15 to 18. Grinding the floor above is faster than fighting reds below.
- The bottom boss is 28, so the floor is not the end of it.
Loot Worth Coming For
Two weapons and a quest component.
- The Ebon Scepter off the first named, a 0.4 ratio with 7 intelligence and 7 strength, for warrior, shadowknight or berserker. The negatives fall off as you level it.
- She also drops an enchanted fine steel morning star

Both parts are tradeable, so you can hand them to someone else.
- A bottom floor named drops the platinum ring for the Qeynos sewers ring quest, with a chance at the gold ring too.
What I Learned About Monks
Never played one before; viewers kept asking.
- Kick damage scales off the AC of your boots. I am wearing 15 AC boots and it shows, so boots are a damage slot for a monk.
- Weight gives an armour bonus under roughly 18 stones. Levelling gear toward plus ten pushes its weight toward zero, and the Pack Rat AA cuts it further.
- Fists are probably your best ratio weapon early and stay good to 50. The genuinely best monk weapons are the Sky quest ones, which is a long way off.
- Mend is far better than it should be. I spam it on cooldown, partly to raise the skill, and it sustains me on its own. They must have tweaked it, and Improved Mend makes it better again.
- The AA list is thin. Improved Mend, Dragon Force, a cure. The monk Unbound is not released yet and I am told it is a doozy.
- Honest verdict: monk is more boring than bard. Turn on auto attack and watch. The animations are great and the gameplay is simple.
- It might not need a tank at all. A healer plus monk plus a third could work, and I cannot test it because my primary is locked to warrior or shadowknight.
Stances Matter More Than Usual Here
Because low level plus high level gear breaks your stamina.
- Stamina drains fast, because the cost scales with damage. High-level weapons on a low-level character empty the bar quickly.
- Balanced is the recovery stance, and I spend a lot of the run cycling back into it.
- Offensive is worth it. Double melee damage and 25 percent more chance to hit, and the accuracy is the part that actually moves the numbers.
- Striker boosts combat abilities threefold and non-weapon skills fivefold, at a steep endurance cost. Bigger tiger claws and cleaves, and it drains you visibly.
- Divine heals off everything you cast. A small nuke returns 17, a bigger cast around 55. It pairs best with a shaman, where big-mana dots become indirect healing.
- Haste is capped down here, so a 40 percent item is doing very little at these levels.
Things That Make the Run Easier
Small, and all learned the hard way.
- Bring backpacks. You will fill up.
- Set auto-sell and auto-merge aggressively. I hate the loot window and decide once per item, then never look again.
- Ignore pets. They die with their master. The exception is necromancer pets, which are shadowknights and will harm touch and life tap you.
- Solo suppresses fear and charm. Most mobs will not use either against a solo player; Adamant Will covers you when you group.
- There is no death penalty. You return to the zone-in, and with respawns on you earn experience walking back down. Take the risky pull.
- Turn respawns off eventually. A completion bonus for non-respawning runs is coming, along with better named chances, and that will be the better way to run this.
Bug filed: the Befallen hunter achievement has not been updated with the new mobs from the revamp. I still completed it. My goal at launch is Hunter in every zone.
How Long This Actually Takes
Asked constantly, so here is my honest estimate.
- A week or two to a first character at 50 for most people playing casually.
- I tested that deliberately. One hour a day for about twenty days, quitting the instant the hour was up.
- Then I got addicted around level 40 and have not managed to stop since.
- Platinum is not a constraint. I have 40,000 just from killing things, with essentially no economy and most people giving gear away.
- Motes are the only thing with real value, because they are how items get better.
Why This Is the Launch Plan
Compared against how bad my first character was.
- My first run was rough. Warrior, shaman and rogue, swapping warrior for shadowknight, then carrying that to 27 before replacing shaman with bard.
- That was before spellblade and before instances. Guk was dead, most zones were camped, and I was farming fine steel spears for backstab damage.
- Instances change everything. You can throw yourself at the zone-in until you level, with no penalty for trying something stupid.
- So: reach five, come straight here, make a difficulty zero, and farm.
- Warrior, Cleric and Bard is the likely first set, though Warrior, Monk and Shaman would probably also be good, and Paladin, Monk and Berserker is what I want once those classes get their changes.
What this build is missing: haste and clarity. Alchemy potions would cover both, and I have not touched tradeskills since finding jewelcrafting wanted around 44 enchanter to enchant platinum.
Befallen at a Glance
- Reach level five, which is also the instance minimum.
- In from East Commons, or port as a druid or wizard.
- Difficulty two with gear, zero without.
- Bank your motes. No placeholders means this loot is common; duplicates upgrade each other for free.
- Kill the shadowknight on each floor for its key. Hold the charred bone key; the smoked glass one is temporary.
- Take the Ebon Scepter if you are a warrior, shadowknight or berserker.
- Grind to 15 to 18 before dropping to the bottom floor.
- Get the Baron's Blade down there, and the mallet parts for Reaper of the Dead.
- Bring backpacks, and set auto-merge before you start.

Hello and welcome to EverQuest Legends. Today we are in we’re going to go to the Befallen dungeon revamp and check that out. So let’s go ahead and just zone in. So just in case you don’t know how to get here. Here is the East Commons zone line. It’s right on this wall on the southern end. So you know Commons East you know East Commons and then free ports over here ish like through this zone it’s like right there. If you’re a half-ling you can get here through uh you know River Vahls like right here and then through Kithicor Forest right down here. You can also port here as a druid and as a uh wizard you can port here. And uh yeah. So it’s it’s not too hard to get to. Uh it’s a very it’s a newbie zone newbie uh dungeon if you will. We’ll see what the levels are of everything. Now in the Reaper of the Dead video I do go through it a little bit but uh uh this one we’re going to actually focus on doing stuff so uh I’m going to do a personal instance at a difficulty of two. Uh this is what I find is the sweet spot for leveling when you have a gear. Obviously this character has uh gear. I’m playing a warrior monk cleric. Um leveling the monk if you will. So this is that’s my lowest uh lowest class but uh most of them are in warrior gear. Uh and that well we’re going to talk about some cool gear you’re going to get along the way along with you know just check out the zone and seeing you know the different uh things that have changed in a more detailed way than I covered in the Reaper of the Dead video which uh you know you still have to come here for that quest but uh you can see there we’re zoning in we’re getting a level six mobs, so I believe the lowest you can do this at is level five, so I’ve never done this combo before. Everybody’s asked me try monks. Uh but I have not tried monks, so you know, we’re obviously one shotting everything because, you know, I I have higher level gear. Uh probably won’t be the same in uh you know, live, right? If we go here to me melee damage, right? I’m hitting really hard, so it is what it is. I don’t feel like truly don’t feel like uh deleting my character and starting over at this point. Uh so we’re just going to kind of go through it, so not too bad, like 3.4% experience for these these these blue mobs, right? Now, the cool thing about blue mobs is they’re really good for uh AA experience. You’ll see here, like we’ve gained more AA experience, I believe, than uh anything else at this point. Uh and you can see the monk do some uh the the the monk do no monk do some crazy uh crazy moves with his uh with his custom animations, so it’s it’s pretty nice. Now uh I’m going to I’m going to hit mend on pretty much cool down uh just to kind of get the skill up. But uh it is not really uh not really the best way to use mend, so if you see me using mend uh you you’d want to save it. But I’m also running a cleric. I probably could have run a bard uh and got, you know, a little bit better effect, but this is not too bad, right? Uh this give me a few, you know, things, like I can nuke and stuff like that, but kind of focusing on the warrior monk aspect of this more and just having the the monk for uh like I mean the cleric for just so I don’t have to think about healing. All right, that’s first set of rooms. Now, this room here is going to have I think the key guy. So, we’re going to kill him real quick once we kill these. Uh but these are still like level seven. So, these would be yellow if you’re like coming in here at level five. So, keep that in mind. Now, here’s our first name, Aska Ray. Now, she’s red. We’ll see what level she is. She’s level 16. So, there’s a little bit of a bigger jump in difficulty from uh the sevens and you know, five to sevens to this. So, she’s a little bit harder. Um she’s a shadow knight mage. Uh I believe she’s just going to be a shadow knight normally. So, shadow knight mage is kind of probably a harder combo um when you meet them just because they’re going to uh they’re going to be you know, hitting pretty hard. So, you can see that men is actually pretty I’m going to actually move this down to my multi-bind so I can just spam this. Let’s take harm touch out of there. And yeah, that should be good. We can do echo, right? Like our heal. Now, I’m in offensive stance and I’m like already out of stamina. So, I’m going to go into balanced stance. And that’ll help with my stamina regen. Now, stamina regen at lower levels with higher level weapons cuz it’s based on damage. You’re going to you’re going to eat your your you’re going to eat your stamina pretty quick. Uh so, something to keep in mind there. When you’re leveling is you know, you’re you’re going to have some stamina issues if you have you know, higher level stuff. And there we go. We got an enchanted uh a fine steel morning star, right? Now, look at this weapon. Seven wisdom. Um this would be a nice weapon, you know, starting, right? Like as a warrior or a monk, right? If you kill her, you you you’re getting a good thing. She also drops a two-hander. Um but uh we’ll see if we can get that before we go down a floor. But uh there we go. Now, I’m going to try something. Probably not the smart thing. I’m going to take my weapons off, right? Now, we are a monk. And so, we do have, you know, hand-to-hand uh combat ratio, right? So, you can see my punches you know, I’m hitting for seven, I’m hitting for 10. So, that’s about what I would be hitting for cuz I don’t believe my hand-to-hand is very high. Now, there was a bug for a while where every time you repost your hand-to-hand would go up. Um so, I might have a little bit of skill in there cuz I am, you know, I’m on I’m on like 50 uh you know, I’m this is where I’m at, right? Like, I have 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 to go. And uh yeah, I’m almost done. I’m almost done leveling all these guys. So, we can we can kind of do the fist, which are going to be probably the best ratio weapon you’re going to have early on, anyway. So, uh you can see here we’re getting, you know, our round kicks and our tiger claws up. That’s our current highest level uh abilities to use there. Now, I don’t I don’t know if this server um has the bonuses for doing the different uh kicks, right? Like, on live, there’s AAs for turning them into different things. I don’t know if that exists here. Uh there’s not a whole lot of AAs for the monk. Improve man, dragon force uh What is this one? Purify body, I believe it was. It’s purify body or purify soul. One of these two does a cure. And and then they get their their unbound hasn’t been released yet, but it is a doozy, so it’s pretty nice. So, you know, rapid faint uh uh um improved mend. So, improved mend is actually pretty nice, right? Like if I’m I’m going to hit four, right? It’s going to mend me. Like I’m actually kind of sustaining myself just on the mend, right? So, it’s kind of cool. All right. So, what is this? The splinter wooden key. I already have that one. So, that’s the first key you want, right? For this zone. So, you’re going to make sure you want to get pick that up from him uh when you come through here. That’ll give you access to floor two. So, we’re just going to kind of double-check, make sure we killed everything. I want to try to kill everything as we go down. Um you’ll reme- If you remember from when I created the instance, I unchecked disable responding or uh disable the no responding or whatever. At some point uh before release, when you do the non-responding ones, there is a bonus at the end. So, uh that’ll probably probably be the more uh the more selected way to go through these um in all honesty versus just, you know, unless you’re mindlessly grinding. Uh cuz I believe those are going to have like uh high chance for names and stuff to spawn in most of those instances, plus you get a bonus at the end. So, >> [laughter] >> Oh, what was that? Uh so, there you go. That’ll be kind of cool. Uh definitely uh it will be a uh a little pleasant bonus, you know, to get, you know, maybe a random random item that you wouldn’t have gotten probably uh you know, during the run. So, that’ll be fun when that gets implemented. But uh definitely, it’s uh this is a good dungeon, and I feel coming here at level five is the key to success when it comes to uh leveling up uh from uh uh like on when this goes live. And that’s that’s my plan, right? I’m going to I’m going to start uh I’m going to level up to like, you know, four or five, and I’m going to come in here. Now, I think you have to be five to create instance, so that’s kind of like you got to get five before you get here, which is not going to be that hard in the Commons land or the zones around here, right? Like Um I think Northshire Roe, I think cuz I’m I’m going to I’m going to be in XR and Northshire Roe is where they start and that’s going to be a nice little starting area right into the Commonlands, right? You know, right? Jeez, she spawned again. So, I feel like that’s going to be a really nice thing. Am I rooted? Yeah, I am rooted. I forgot to holy buff myself, too, so I’m going to do that right after I kill her. I’m just like rooted into the wall right here and slowed. Let’s get rid of that slow. All right, perfect. So, not too bad. Now, we are haste capped, right? I have a 40% haste item. We’re capped at you know, whatever haste percentage like I think it was like 10% haste, so not really not really that exciting melee at this level, but uh the casters can do some pretty pretty cool stuff. But, you’d be doing this at difficulty zero, so it’s going to be even easier. I think these things are going to be way way easier and you’ll be able to pick up like that that weapon we saw, right? That 7 730, right? That’s that’s a pretty good weapon with stats. So, depending on what your combo is, right? You might want to pick up two of those, you know, dual wield them or whatever if depending on what you are. But, uh definitely uh definitely nice. Is she is like wasting so much of her mana trying to slow me? It’s It’s comical, really. But, she’s landing it every time. There we go. I love these monk animations against these tiny mobs, right? Uh there’s like it’s just like random sizes of mobs that spawn right now and it’s kind of funny. I I like it because like when you’re going through Guk, right? You get big frogs, little frogs. It’s It’s kind of breaks up the monotony and stuff. It’s pretty funny. There we go. We got the Ebon Scepter, which is her alternate weapon. Now, I’m going to I’ll go ahead and loot this one cuz I’m only going to keep the the real items that drop, not the enchanted fine steel because I won’t have any use for those, but if you’re playing a warrior, shadow knight, or berserker, right? A point four weapon for killing her, that’s a 20 45. That is really nice. Seven intelligence, seven strength. Uh, as you level it up, the negative things will go away, so it’s kind of nice there. So, you know, just a little a little bonus for uh you coming here. You I would I would definitely get that item uh if you’re on this you know, coming through here. I definitely it’s a good item to have. Uh, it might you know, you might not need it right away, it’s uh definitely nice. And we got a copper band, which I think that’s for the Palable Polo, right? Like um Opolla or whatever it is. Um, there’s a guy on the bottom floor that spawns and he’s the he drops the platinum ring and stuff like that. There’s a whole uh whole bunch of uh rings you go collect and it’s a Kinos uh Sewers quest. It’s not too hard. I just I I just don’t see why you would want to do it unless you’re trying to get like a quest achievement or something cuz uh most classes are dual wielding, right? So, you’re going to not going to have really room to put it. I don’t think it’s a range item, so. I think it was only wisdom casters. But, uh I don’t even know if it’s possible to do it completed uh right now because uh I don’t know if Cara Island is in to uh be able to get to. There we go. Excellent. All right, so this is the first door. You need the key in your bag to open this door. Um which is different because the other ones you have to hold the key to open the door. I don’t I don’t know. But uh you know, I don’t I don’t work here. I just I just play the game for the love of the game. But there we go again in this rat. There we go. We hit uh I’m going to go ahead and auto sell those cuz I’m sick of seeing them. A level 11. Does that give us anything new for uh the sham? Yeah, we do get uh a symbol. I’m going to click that mend real quick. I’m going to put symbol on my bar. There we go. That’ll give us a little bit more hit points. Let’s go ahead and uh Wow. That’s some That’s some mend mending right there. All right. Let’s see. Do we get anything new here? Doesn’t look like it. All right. So there’s a room here. Uh it’s just going to have like skeletons and stuff. It’s the same about the same level seven level seven mobs now. Uh still. We’re about to drop down and uh we’ll go into a little bit higher of an area and we’ll pick up the second key. And the real the real named and loot and stuff is on the bottom floor as far as I can tell. Um I have [snorts] not seen any any named like this is still the first floor, right? When we have to go down. I have not seen any named on the second floor, but I could be wrong. Um there is there’s one right at the end and that could be the way where that they put the name for that floor. Um but uh for the most part, it’s it’s not as it’s not as you know, it doesn’t have one, but we’re going to kind of go through here. And I just kind of swag these guys. But these neophytes can be pretty crazy. Now, if you’re not solo, they’ll probably fear you, in all honesty. From what I understand, most mobs do not fear if you’re solo, and they don’t charm if you’re solo. But, there isn’t a AA you can pick up your fear in a group adamant will, which will lower the chances of that significantly. Because when you get into higher level stuff when you start grouping with anybody, it can be not that fun to be feared all over Plane of Fear while you’re trying to kill a mob, right? It’s definitely a a challenging experience. Sell that one. All right. Now, we’re getting into, you know, a yellow mob here. So, that’s pretty nice. And if we look at the map, right? We should have a different map now, so we can kind of like look and see. Now, I don’t have tracking, so it’s a very small window, but uh going to the yellows. See, there might be a guy over there. We can look kind of closer over there. Bandages, we’re going to auto sell those. So, I’m not seeing a name yet, but uh they’re always up in Befallen, so you don’t have to worry about placeholders. You just have to worry about getting the item you wanted, right? Now, like the mend is so far has been actually OP. Like I’m kind of crazy how it’s it’s been working. They must have tweaked it, so it works better than normal mend. Otherwise, I probably wouldn’t need to spam it, but it is it is working pretty well here. So, we got some more yellows. All right, let’s see here. Nothing red. There is a shadow knight, I believe, over in this room. Yeah, that one. Um which is a locked door, so we need to like unlock the door and all that. So, we’re going to go this way and get the keys and then we go that way and go downstairs. So, it’s like a it’s a T section in the hallway here. So, it’s not too bad. It’s a nice zone. I mean like if you if you come here on like TLPs and stuff, right? You’ll think maybe like in this in this area right here you’re going to get feared to death and it’s just going to be a whole terrible thing, but you really don’t have to worry about that here cuz I I don’t get feared very much, but uh you never know. Do I So, I’m curious. Do I have the spell casting fury stuff as just a cleric? Yeah, I do. All right, so I can still crit and stuff like that. I’m just curious what uh what I lose. Like I’ve made so many combos now like I’m I’m at what? 475 AA, right? It’s just like kind of where I’m I’m like it’s it’s not going to take too long to get there. I would I would say it’s going to take most people anywhere between a week or two to get to their first character to 50. Maybe some people get it done a way faster, but I think a lot of people are going to be in the week or two section um casually playing. Now, I casually played this game for I think it was like 20 days. Uh 1 hour a day was my limit. I like whatever I was doing, you know, 1 hour and then if I if [laughter] if I hit 1 hour, I just slash queued and uh you know, it quits the game instantly. And then uh I came back, right? I was kind of trying to test that with my first characters to see where I’d end up. And then about level 40, I got super addicted to the game. And uh I haven’t been able to stop it since. So, it is definitely possible to, you know, casually play an hour a day, casually play an hour, you know, whatever your your feelings are on the game, you can definitely play it as much as you want. Um there is lots to do. Lots to do. I can tell you that. Oh, there’s a red one. A thermagist. All right, there he is. Let’s go see if I think that’ll give us the hunter. I don’t think I have that one yet. Cuz they uh he’s supposed to spawn downstairs, but he doesn’t because he’s it’s a different mob down there. All right, this is this is interesting. We’re still offensive. We still have some some resources, so I’m not too concerned there. We get a backpack while we’re here, right? Those are I would definitely come here with backpacks, so you can hold all the stuff. Um but uh definitely. And so as a monk, right? Uh typically you have a penalty for weight. If I get that green, if I get under I think 18 stones, I believe it is, uh I’ll get an armor bonus. So, it’s something to consider there. Now, I’m wearing warrior gear and I, you know, all that stuff. So, it’s like, you know, 4 lb. But as I level this gear up to closer to plus 10, it comes closer to zero weight. Uh so, in theory, uh I eventually could get to uh you know, the lower weight. I don’t know what I was attacking, but uh I guess there’s some mob behind me. So, let’s go ahead and heal there and just kind of go and pop a mend. Oh, look at that mend just like totally fit. Jesus, so nice. [laughter] Let’s get rid of that disease cloud. But uh definitely feel like this would be a good starting zone to go through, right? And And you see these motes, right? You want to get as save as many motes as you can uh and to be able to level up items that are uh more important to you, right? I would not use any motes on any of the items here in this zone because they there’s they’re going to be so common, right? Um like let’s be real. There’s no placeholders. The items in this zone are going to be fairly common to acquire. And so I would use that as an opportunity to save your motes. And as we get to the third floor, I’ll start showing the armor that um is going to be the armor that I think is going to be like my starting armor. Now, we did Blackburrow. Um I don’t know how long ago it was, but to me it was yesterday. Uh video-wise, I don’t know when it’s going to be. But in Blackburrow, there’s a lot of armor. Um and it’s it’s pretty good armor, right? But I feel that the armor here is probably a little bit more balanced for the stats I want, right? And we’ll we’ll show that here in a minute. Um at least it’ll get us to the planes, I think. I think it’ll get us to the planes. So that’s kind of that’s my my my thought process, right? Is the way I plan on playing is that my first character set, which is going to probably be warrior, cleric, bard uh to be honest cuz I really like I really like that combo. All right, we got a dagger of Marnak. All right. Let’s go ahead and loot that. Why not? And then I’ll show you this 100 of the Fallen and level 12. So there we go. Uh I submitted a bug report that uh, that the it hasn’t been updated with the new mobs. So, hopefully they go back and they they fix some of these hunter achievements to include the new mobs they added. Uh, cuz otherwise it’s kind of weird. >> [laughter] >> But, we got it we got the hunter. So, that’s pretty nice. My goal when this goes live is to get hunter in every zone. Um, along with all the other achievements. I think that’ll be kind of fun. There we go. All right. Now, if I’m not mistaken, it’s down this way. And we got to fight these guys. We go this one first. And then we need this one to unlock and then I can’t remember. Yeah, there’s another shadowy knight in there for another key. Now, I wish we had haste. I like this this build would feel better with haste. Probably a shaman might feel better than a cleric. I went with cleric just because like it worked with what I had going on. Like, I didn’t have to switch any of my gear. Uh, like my shoulders don’t work for a cleric and I believe I’m more of a shaman. I believe everything else does. So, I got to find some, you know, better shoulders and stuff for that. But, uh, for the most part it is smooth sailing. Oh, we want to go to this way. All right. So, that is a hole. It’ll take you to the third floor. Uh, I don’t recommend that. Um, I think the room is relatively safe, but, uh, you’re just in a bad part of the zone and you still have to go find the shadowy knight on that floor to kill. Cuz I mean, you can like literally at the very beginning of the zone where you’re are the Aska, you can jump down that well that’s right next to her and you can get to the third floor, right? It’s a It’s a shortcut. But, you still have to kill these Shadow Knights to get the keys to get through doors. And uh that can be painful uh for stuff, right? So, let’s auto sell that halberd. Now, I already have this key, the charred bone key. Uh so, you’re going to make sure you have these keys. You got to keep them on your person. And I believe that key must uh you must click it on the door. We’ll check here in just a second when we kill this guy. But, uh just avoid the hole there and then So, I’m clicking the door. It says that I need the key. I click the key and I’m inside, right? And then we just go over here and schwa this guy. You I I personally ignore the pets because the pets die when you kill the master. Um so, they’re not really as big a threat as you as you really think. Um you know, some of the pets are kind of crazy. Like, there’s uh like Paladin pets from enchanters. These uh These Necromancers have Shadow Knight pets. So, they’re going to harm touch you. They’re going to light um you know, light tap you and stuff like that. Definitely uh can be can be problematic, but uh I highly recommend just uh ignoring And if you’re a warrior, you’re going to cleave it down. Like, I’ve already cleaved these other cleaved these other two down like 50%. So, I haven’t I haven’t even attacked them yet. So, that’s something to consider. Then, we’re going to switch back to balance to get our stamina back. And then we’re going to throw an echo to get a little health back, right? Definitely uh kind of kind of the reason why I like clerical level is you get these echo lines that are pretty quick fat casting. And they heal for, you know, a good amount, right? So, it’s uh it’s what I dreamed the Rancor uh Torpor line is for shaman, but for some reason uh they gave it to a clerk. There we go. And now let’s take a look at the map here. We got Shadow Knight, a mummy. Looks like the Shadow Knights hitting us through the door here. Yeah, let’s pull back a little bit. Excellent. And we’ll just let our endurance uh build up. So, you know, like the the damage the damage seems pretty good to me. And you know, we’re punching, right? So, I don’t have my weapons on, so I’m not going to hit like hundreds, right? But I’m doing 24 damage punches. You know, this is not too bad. Um definitely feels like I can do it. Like obviously I have a lot of armor and stuff like that. We you know, if I had a if I would have kept all the lower level sets, but uh it doesn’t really matter too much, I don’t think. Especially cuz if you’re going to a zero, you’re going to have a way easier time. And you know, doing the zero, uh you’re going to get the infinitesimal you’re going to get a lot of these, like a lot of them. It only takes like one of these or two of them to upgrade an item to plus one. And so, if you get the item, you plus one it, and then you get the next item, it’s almost plus two at that point, right? So, definitely you’re going to get to plus two, plus three really, really quick. Uh I wouldn’t use any higher level motes than say like one or two because they’re you know, they get they’re a little uh less common at that point, right? So, we got barbed uh barbed arm plates, which are nice nice arms, right? Like if I if I didn’t have better, they would be great. So, definitely some nice items there. And then we get the smoked glass key. Now, this one it says temporary, right? So, you have to get this one pretty much every time you come here, unfortunately. Uh so, you’re going to want that one for uh the next door, I believe. But, I really wish the key all the keys in the game were just into the uh the key ring, right? So, we can slash key. Uh these are the keys that are in the key ring, right? I wish all the keys that were available were in here. Uh it would be a little bit nicer uh for things. Hopefully, uh you know, hopefully they uh they do something like that because I don’t know. It’s you know, just carrying wasting bag space on keys is not that fun when everything else is in the key ring. There we go. All right, let’s go back the way we came. And we’re going to go through this door. And then around. All right, we don’t have that key. It’s this one, right? All right, we’re going to bring these guys. We’re going to come back up here. It’s this way, right? Yeah, we’re going to be right here. Let’s fight all this stuff. Cuz looks like we got a mini train on us now uh just for moving that far. Let’s go ahead and mend. There we go. And we should be fine. I I don’t feel like I’m going to be in trouble. If we die, we die. We can always run back, right? Like, it’s not a big deal dying in this game, so uh you know, feel free to take those risks that you might not want to take otherwise because you’ll definitely uh have a little bit more fun. Uh cuz there’s no penalty on death, and you go back to zone in. And if you have respawning on, everything’s going to come back up, so you can get more experience on your way back down. But, we’re level 12. I don’t know if we got anything new there. Nope. Do we get anything here? Doesn’t look like it. It’s hard to tell sometimes, but uh Let’s grab her a little cleat. Put that in there. I think that works now. Yeah. It’s my AoE taunt. Uh which is not very useful when I’m solo cuz everything’s going to attack me anyway, but uh it works out. Now, the play with this build is you would make alchemy potions, right? Uh you’d make an alchemy haste potion, alchemy clear uh clarity potion, and use those with your uh with your stuff, right? To kind of uh supplement your your buffs that you don’t have, right? Like haste and clarity. Uh those would be definitely uh things to do. I just haven’t spent any time on trade skills. Like I started doing uh uh jewelcrafting, and then I got bored uh cuz then I realized I needed I think it was like 44 enchanter to be able to enchant the platinum. And I was just like, all right, I’m done. >> [laughter] >> I’ll save it for life. Um platinum is, you know, really easy to come by. Like I’m at 40,000 platinum just from killing stuff. There’s relatively no economy. Most people give stuff away. I plan on giving away everything I don’t need to people. Uh Unless somehow there’s an economy that’s worth selling some things, but I don’t I just don’t see it. I just don’t see it personally. Um with the way things are now. I think motes are going to be the uh the only thing that are going to really have any kind of value. Uh because they’re the easy way to level up items, right? So, you know, it is it is what it is, but uh I can go get any item I want relatively easy. I mean, uh you know, there’s some randomness on some stuff, but the raids are going to be like one item every 18 hours after you get your you know the full load. So, you kill the you kill the dragons, you get a full load of loot, and then you get uh you get uh one item after that, you know, for all the raids, which is still pretty good every 18 hours. So, uh you can definitely get some items, especially when you get into the plus fours. I mean, that’s like getting uh what? Like like 60 64 items cuz the way the all the combines are, maybe less. Um maybe it’s like 16. I can’t remember where it falls in the uh the thing, but it’s a it’s a like a plus four item is a lot of a lot of items to get there. So, uh definitely it’s a nice when you get one of those that you need. There we go. Geez, that took some effort. All right, we’re going to go this door. All right, we’re going to go Oh. We’re not going any further. >> [laughter] >> That’s a lot of mobs. I’m trying to get them all kind of positioned so I can cleave them all. I feel like I’m just attacking really slow right now, so it’s a little little weird, but we’re going to mend mend do much that time. Go on a healing. There we go. Now, I do have all the crit heals and stuff, right? I think that was a crit heal. Uh it was only three 330. It doesn’t say it was crit, but it’s probably a crit heal cuz that seems a lot for the healing spell line, right? Yeah, 175. So, that was a definitely a crit. >> [screaming] >> There we go. And then just It’s I feel uh In all honesty, I feel like the the monk is a little bit more boring than a bard. Uh when it comes to uh to the gameplay, right? Like it’s it’s very much a simple gameplay. Just turn on auto attack. The Bard is a little bit got a little bit more different, uh, things because you’re doing a lot more things. You can also charm things and, you know, it’s a little bit different, but I I’m not 100% sure on the Monk being, uh, more exciting, if you will. Uh, but Monk is something I want to try with Paladin Monk Berserker because I think that is going to be a very strong build once, uh, once they do some changes to, uh, the Monk and, uh, Berserker class that they’re looking to do. And we go throw another heal on there. Excellent. I’ve been in recovery this whole time. >> [laughter] >> I guess there’s not much else to do, uh, other than recovery, right? Uh, Divine is kind of nice, right? So, watch. Uh, if you don’t know about Divine, so 162 is my last heal. I cast my nuke, right? I cast my nuke. I heal myself for 17 points, right? So, if I want to like go in here and, you know, try to spend more mana, like I did killed myself for 55 from a 168 heal cast, right? It’s kind of a nice little, uh, way to play. Uh, I found with a Shaman, Divine is actually really nice because instead of healing directly, you kind of heal indirectly using Divine with dots, right? Uh, cuz the dots are really big mana. And so, being able to just like drop a big thing, you’re getting you’re getting close to that, you know, 160 heal and you know, things like that, right? It’s It’s actually pretty fun. Uh it’s not really sustainable outside of like experience, but it is what it is. There we go. We’re about to hit 12. Oh. Realistically, we want to level up, I think, a little bit more. The bottom boss is like 28, so um obviously we’re not going to be killing that at level 12, but uh we want to uh level up a little bit more, I think. There we go. 13. Do we get anything at 13 worth talking about? Nope. We got a new undead nuke, but um I’m not 100% sure I want to do that. I’m going to kill these ones first. Just so we can get we get the experience. Uh I feel like we we’re going to need it, right? What are we at? We’re at 4 AA, so so trainable, nothing. I think so. There’s not enough enough yet to do. Now, this right here, pack rat, um like 10 items, so that’s like 50% maybe. Uh item weight reduction, so that would definitely get you closer if you’re playing a monk guy. Like, I’m not going to play a monk guy right now. Uh other than this, but it’s definitely going to get the some of these items down a little bit more, maybe getting closer to that you know, where you can get the the armor class bonus. Which I feel like is is definitely possible if you plus 10 a lot of the items and stuff like that, maybe switch in some items that are more monk oriented. Like the uh robe of the robe of the lost circle is um like 40 AC, 100 hit points, so it’s actually pretty nice at plus 10, but obviously getting that to plus 10 is uh a lot of work, so it’s kind of worth it, right? But it just depends on you know what your level of effort is for things. All right, so I think that’s the first boss footman of vizier right there. So this is going to be a hard pull, right? This is a two yellows and uh and a red. So this is going to this is going to be a little bit challenging. We’ll do a quick rebuff. Yeah, we’ll do a real quick rebuff down there before we go down there. 3%. So not too bad experience, right? Like I mean I I do I usually do a little upper guk is like kind of my thing, right? I uh I unlocked wizard, so I port to um to kazic and then I run through kazic at like level 10 and then [laughter] and then from there I go all the way over to lower upper guk until about 25 and then I go to lower guk. Uh you know, it’s a really nice combo. I’m going to kill these casters first in all honesty. I feel like that’s probably the smartest thing I could do right now. I’m in divine, so I might as well burn some mana. There we go. That’s one. Oh, he didn’t die. He is not going to die. There [laughter] we go. All right. Let’s get this one now. We’ve been clea- we’ve fleeted him down like 9%, so that’s not bad. I just want to get rid of these casters because they’re going to be the most painful mobs in all honesty. I think this guy is we’re just going to be able to face tank him. There go. That roundhouse kick. I got to see the flying kick. Honestly, it’s That was Was it the eagle strike? Or no, the tiger claws that like kind of Yeah, that weird like jump punch that he’s doing. It’s kind of funny in all honesty. I wish cleave had an animation, right? Like it feel like that should be some kind of animation, too. I might do a feature request for that cuz Like if if there’s tiger claw and round kick animations, there should be there should be a cleave animation. Like he you know, he just like for forward you know, whatever weapons in his you know, primary hand he just like swings it like a backhand, you know? I think that’d be kind of cool. Let’s go ahead and do a echo, just keep our health up. Perfect. So, this will be the second name, I think. It’s actually drops loot. So, you can see here, right? Like this is the first the first item. Pristine studded leather gloves. Four wisdom, four dexterity, seven AC. These are pretty nice. Now, um you can definitely definitely wear those for a while. Uh they’re pretty good. Now, this elf skeleton, right? He’s a part of the Reaper of the Dead quest. I didn’t know about that until I did the quest. Uh he drops a uh two items, a mallet head and a mallet uh hilt. And those are used to you know, make the do that quest to get the uh promise renewal clicky for shadow knight, right? Like I There’s a whole video on it. It should come out before this video. Um and uh it’s definitely uh definitely a nice little thing. It’s like a 20-minute reuse, but you know, you still have it unlimited charges, so definitely nice to have available, right? There’s the hilt. See if we can get another Are these Is it tradeable? Yeah, it’s tradeable, so I can just like give it to somebody if they want it. There we go. Pretty easy if you ask me. Now, this guy’s 21, I’m 13, so we’re kind of getting into that higher level mob. For sure, but there wasn’t >> [sighs] >> there wasn’t very many yellow mobs up above, right? There definitely uh difficulty. And then this is going to be all red. These are all dark elves down here. Uh there is a named here, a named two named here, a named here. And I don’t think there’s any names in this area. There’s this guy the Thermogist doesn’t spawn. The risen Thermogist one spawns there. Uh but that’s that’s about it. >> [laughter] >> We’re going to have We’re going to have to level up a little bit before we can uh tackle some of those other places, so it’s not too bad though. I mean this is this is actually pretty slow and we’re on we’re in offensive stance. Which is uh which is pretty crazy. We might have to go up. Like 12% experience for how much time? There’s There’s the guy that drops the platinum ring. Uh we’re going to just going to go back up, try to find some easier experience for a moment cuz I feel like we’re just like wasting our time. Let’s go into striker. Now, what does striker do? Striker improves the damage by uh combat I’ll go in combat abilities 3x, non-weapon skill abilities 5x. I’m not sure what that means, but uh we’re going to get bigger hits on our tiger claws and our cleaves. I don’t know what they which ones are which. Uh at the cost of more endurance, so I’m trying to see if we can get one. So, we got like a punch. I don’t I think the kicks and the punches are just and they’re like a 48 cleave. A triple kick for Jeez. Uh that much, right? It is definitely doing a lot more damage. You can see our stamina just chunking down, you know, get big crits and stuff like that. See here. Yeah, 11 punches. And that’s without weapons, right? Like if Let’s let’s let’s put our weapons back on. And instantly kicked for uh 72. Uh now kick damage is based on AC of your boot, which I don’t think I have really good AC boots on right now. I have 15 AC boots on, so um your mileage will vary there, but you can see here we’re getting the more 50 hits and stuff like that with better weapons. Uh yeah, crits were like 35. So, definitely like the better weapons you get, the better it is, right? And for a monk, I think the best weapons are the quest ones in Sky, so it’s, you know, a little bit of effort before you can get to those. Otherwise, I think the fists are good till 50. So, depending on uh what combo you play. Now, I I I feel um like I’m I’m not 100% sure. I feel like the monk could probably not have to have a tank class, right? Um if that makes any sense. I feel like they might be able to to sustain. I would say a healer like say you know cleric or a shaman or a druid, right? Plus the monk plus a third class would probably be a really good combo. It’s hard to say cuz I can’t really like switch out my warrior or the shadow knight, right? Um but if I can switch them out easier which will will do a lot of testing more like when we get to live, right? When uh you know I’ll do all the sky quests, unlock all the combos, and you know I’m going to you know pretty much be doing the same you know kind of the way I’ve been doing the the videos for the combos on the the the raid mobs, right? And just seeing what I can do. Um building you know building up the character, right? I don’t I don’t think a fresh character is really a valid way to test any of that anyway. Uh because it’s not doesn’t feel realistic. Like maybe on your first run you might have like 100 AAs, but I did my first kills on stuff with 100 AAs. It wasn’t It wasn’t hard, right? Uh the more AAs you get, you know, the more time you’ve invested in your character, the better it’s chances are going to be to do anything. So I just I I hate restarting. I I had a I had a terrible time 1 to 10. I’ll just say that cuz I did uh or I started with a warrior shaman rogue. I dropped the the warrior for the shadow knight cuz I wanted more uh more power. And then I took the or a warrior shadow knight shaman rogue all the way to 27 before I switched out Shaman for a bard. And that was before spell blade, that was before a lot of things and it was it was rough. I was I was literally farming fine steel daggers. Not daggers, uh spears. To get better backstab damage. Like it was it was pretty rough. There was no instances so I couldn’t just like go in and do stuff. Everything in Guk was dead. Uh everything in most zones was pretty much, you know, camped in in in a sense, right? And it was it was definitely a a more difficult time starting. And I, you know, I I can’t imagine how easy it is now. Like being able to spawn up an instance, I mean, I can I can beat my face against a mob at the zone in here until I, you know, get a level, right? There’s no penalty for death so there’s no penalty for trying stupid stuff. Um and that is that’s kind of nice in all honesty. Uh you I’ve almost mapped out my full path. Like I doing this right now I’ve you know, I feel like this is this is going to be the first, you know, first dungeon to go to, right? Like hit level five, go right here. Spawn up a D0, you know, go start farming start farming stuff, right? Uh you know, you need better damage and you know, depending on your class, you know, warrior, shadow knight, berserker that can use that two-hander on the first floor. Uh you’re definitely probably going to want to use that two-hander uh if you’re one of those classes until you get, you know, down here and you get the the better one-handers. There’s two of them that drop down here. Um I don’t think I have them both on me anymore. I’ve been trying to free up my key ring space. Uh see here, the Baron’s Blade. All right, do I even Oh, I’m I’m using it right now. Um the Baron’s Blade, this drops down here. It’s a 1630 at plus six. I think I’m almost plus seven. Yeah, I’m almost plus seven on this thing. Just from not even trying. So, we got the Mallet Head this time, which allows us to make another Reaper of the Dead. With uh very little effort. Took me a lot of effort uh to get it. Uh and I go over all that in the video because uh uh I didn’t get lucky with those spawns when I did it, so. Uh plus uh I had to go grain faction for the dead faction, which there’s another video for that. Um showing how to get that faction relatively easy. But, definitely uh hilarious. There we go. We got the big big boy on us now. This guy drops the platinum ring I said. And he I think he has a chance to drop the gold ring for the paw quest. But, uh not really a big deal, honestly. So, we’ll get him swacked down here soon. He’s level 21, we’re 14. Now, my goal is to kind of get through here and get over on to this side. This should be the lower level parts cuz this is all red, right? These are all like level 20 mobs, so. Definitely uh definitely recommend you you get a little bit higher level before you come down here. I would say, you know, 15 to 18. Chad, you know, it’s just literally grinding more mobs up here on the previous level. And stuff. Um just depends, though. So, we got us another AA. What do we have here? Do we have anything? Yeah, there’s another platinum ring. Is there anything? Nothing we can get. See. All right, there’s nothing in that room. So, we’re going to kill these two and then we’ll go up into this room. Which looks to be there’s some blue as a pet. There’s some yellows. Uh there’s two reds over here. And a ghoul there, so. Yeah, definitely uh some stuff to kill over there. That’s a little bit lower level. And we’re in balance. Let’s go back into offensive. I think that one That one felt better. >> [laughter] >> Like There we go. 115 172 cleave. Um 154 pierce. Definitely offensive feels better in some cases. Uh because you’re getting I feel like more damage, right? Like this one increases your uh melee damage by 100% and my chance to hit by 25. So, you miss a lot less. Which Okey is a really big way to get more damage at all honesty. I have a pet attacking us, but I don’t see the master, which is weird. But, I think warrior monk shaman would probably be pretty good. Um I don’t know why I didn’t try that build, but uh >> [laughter] >> I’m sure it would probably be pretty good. Like it’s it’s I I feel like shaman needs a little bit more juice. That’s a lot of mobs. A little little little little bit more healing, I think, would really help them out. Uh Later today, I think Uh yeah, later today I might I was checking my raids. Uh we’re going to do shadow knight necro shaman in uh we’re going to try see how far we can go with Yale first. He’s the easiest raid mob. I don’t even count Fenenel. He’s just not worth my time. There’s nothing he drops that I would ever even think about needing, I don’t think. Unless I was trying to do like a bard bard or wizard epic, but uh definitely uh something there. All right, level 15. That is nice. Let’s see if we got anything good. Are we getting a new heal at 14? And we got some Okay, so let’s do this. Spell focus. And we got new armor class. You want to make sure you like try to stay buffed as much as you can, right? Um otherwise you could have some problems. Do we get another one? Echo. There we go. All right. And quick buff. Quick buff is great because it just does them everything on your bar. And uh you don’t have to really think about it too much. All right, so this is really nice. You can see here these are yellow up there. And uh so that’s that’s that’s a really good level range for us. We’re 15. We might be able to get like 16 or 17 here depending on how many mobs there are, but uh that’s pretty good. Uh let’s see here. Kick and cleave are still our thing, so we’re good there. And then this is the shadow knight here. So if you fall down on the last floor, you have to kill this shadow knight, which in normal EverQuest it’s got a placeholder, so it might take you a while to get the keys. Um but this one uh seems to always spawn. And you can get the key. So you can like if you’re if you’re strong enough to jump down the hole, I’ll show where it shows up. You can It’s like right over there. You’re strong enough to survive like you know, these mobs down here, you can definitely skip straight to the the bottom floor without doing all the keys, but you know, it’s not as fun and I’m trying to show this as a little you know, like a lower level trying to do it. Obviously, I have better gear, but not a big I don’t think it’s a big deal. I I the way the itemization is in this in this zone after you know, a few minutes on D0, you’re going to have you’re going to have to start having some decent loot in all honesty. Like that’s just how it’s going to be. Every named is always up on all the difficulties. So, it’s pretty easy. Then we get a bone bone claymore No, this is a bronze claymore. Never mind. He drops the bone the bone one, too. He drops all three keys. We don’t need any of those. So, sell those off. And let’s see here. We’re going to go this way. No. Uh Can we kill the ghoul? We’re still in divine, so All right. So, you can see this is where you drop down from the hole all the way up there. Uh there’s two mobs down here uh that are level like 20 So, if you can handle that, you know, just skip skip all the rest. I don’t think you even need to kill any of the other stuff. There’s the only named on this on the previous floor is literally on this floor by the door. So, I mean, you don’t really you’re not really missing anything. There we go. He’s like chunking our endurance. The mask that is terrible. So, I ought to sell that. I ought to sell or auto merge like just about everything. I don’t If you watch my videos when I play normal EverQuest, I don’t like looking at the loot window. I get I get really annoyed really quick. Um just cuz it’s like I I don’t want to deal with it, right? Especially when I’m making a video. So, like I like to make my decision, you know, auto always merge that item, right? Always sell that item or auto trade skill it, right? Uh those are my those are like my things I like to just eliminate. So, like as I as I do this more and more, all the items start to eventually go away. You’ll find like, you know, I didn’t get any of those drops in the previous run, so oh, yeah, now I do. All right, so we got a three-way in here. I’m going to kill this guy. He’s an enchanter. I don’t know what the other one was, but we’re just going to kind of nuke him down so we get a little bit higher damage. Now, the cool thing about being a spell caster with melee like this is in between my spell casts, I’m going to do all my abilities, right? So, you can kind of see like everything’s on cool down, and then as soon as I cast my spell, immediately it goes out. So, now um you know, there’s some timing issues there where you might lose a few, you know, a round or two or something like that, but I don’t think it’s a big enough deal for me personally that I’m I’m too concerned about it, right? This is for one of the quests. I think it’s the uh I think it’s a monk quest. I could be wrong, but uh I don’t need it. >> [laughter] >> It’s I think one of the headbands um is what that item is. It might be a different one, but uh I’m I’m not I’m not going through the effort of doing headband quests right now. I’ll tell you that. Especially uh especially like right now because there’s not much time left. And then a five intelligence belt comes from this guy. This is pretty pretty insane. I’m just going to sell it cuz I don’t need it, but uh it is definitely uh a nice item if you’re a intelligence caster, right? And it had I believe it had a AC on it, too, right? Yeah, six AC. So, like if you’re a shadow knight, that’s a pretty good belt, uh you know, if you don’t have anything better at this point in the game, right? Um definitely not a lot of uh item items at this point, right? So, you know, anything gets an upgrade, like you’re going to get some nice upgrades, right? So, we take a look at this. Uh we can upgrade our healing a little bit. We can upgrade I’m going to I feel like double repose might be like the the way to go. Um how much are these mint? Oh, I can’t get improved mint because I don’t have first aid three. All right. There’s first aid one, first aid two, first aid three. All right. I’m not getting any more of that. And I can get improved mint, which will give me a 10% chance to perform a superior mint, doubling it. Excellent. Oh god, six stacks one. So, if I hit mint, I pretty much heal myself. And we hit 16 at the same time, which then gives us 16 uh yomp two. Uh this is a stack buff. Blessing of the squire, which is a indirect heal. And that should be it. All right. And we don’t have quick buff up, so let’s >> [laughter] [gasps] >> I wish quick buff was quicker, uh, in all honesty. Oh, we can just manually cast these. We don’t have a pet or anything, so it doesn’t really matter too much. There we go. Now, I guess if you don’t know, healing of, uh, blessing of the squire, right? See if we can see it here. There it is. Every time I get hit, I get healed for two points of damage with this one, all the way up to like five with the, uh, the highest level one, I think. Maybe six. Or maybe it’s every time I hit, I don’t know. It’s something like that. It’s probably every time I hit, cuz if I switch into offensive stance, right? Which gives me a better, uh, better, um, chance to hit, I should Yeah, it’s it’s healing me. It was doing, uh, It’s doing There we go. So, that 16 is from the fewer, right? And you can see it just going, going. It’s pretty crazy. Um, not a I don’t think it’s enough to sustain anything, but it’s enough to take the edge off, right? Um, I I truly don’t think it’s enough to sustain, um, having played the warrior enough now that I just don’t feel like, uh, it is really going to sustain me in any any fight. But, uh, you know, I could be wrong, right? Like the the mend, right? Like that seems to be sustaining pretty well right now. I think if I max out improve mend, it’ll definitely, uh, go up a little little better there. And then looks like I get rapid feigned feign, which, uh, requires level 17. So, next level, I guess we get Feigned Death. Not too bad. Plus all the other like uh you know, remove uh remove debuffs things, right? Those are really nice. But, every time I nuke, you know, I get a little heal, which is not too bad. Like, it’s not going to sustain me, but it’s not going to uh cause any problems. There we go. Now, what we’re going to do is we’re going to kill the the footmen, and then we’re going to clear this named and all the names over here while they’re red. I think this is going to be the uh the goal there. Pop this guy. We’re going to pull back into here. And we’ll cleave this guy down. He’s uh he’s yellow now. He’s level 20. So, I’m not too concerned. I feel like we can handle it, right? Like, >> [laughter] >> I feel like we can handle it. Uh I do have Word of Pain on my bar, right? It’s uh an AoE. I don’t know why I haven’t been casting it this whole time, but uh I just noticed it. >> [laughter] >> Just noticed it. But, it’s probably not worth the uh mana cost. With uh that many mobs or So, we got an uh another set of gloves. Our gloves are plus four now, which is six wisdom, six dexterity, nine AC. Uh now, like, I plan on doing warrior, cleric, bard, right? Now, this is really nice for the cleric, right? It’s going to give me more mana to do more heals uh and stuff like that. So, like, it’s you got to think of things like that, I think, when uh doing this. Uh the aggro range is very forgiving here. All right, let’s see. Let’s see how this goes. >> [laughter] >> Uh so, she’s a level 22. Uh she’s a pretty hard of a mob there, right? Probably hit pretty pretty decently, right? 176, she’s backstabbing me. All right. Now, we got both of them now. All right, so this is a shadow knight. He’s probably going to he didn’t already harm touch me, he’s probably going to do that. Where’s that at? Yeah, he harm touched me for 255. She’s shooting me with arrows for two for 63. And he’s life tapping me, right? Definitely uh definitely a little bit, you know, more challenging, right? And they have a damage shield. So, keep that in mind. I just I pretty much ignore the lower level damage shield. The my uh my clicky pillage uh pillage enchantment is, you know, it’s what what is that? 240 seconds, you know, it’s you know, a few minutes. So, it’s definitely uh definitely uh not ideal for uh clearing a lot of these. Now, you can see the other name, she’s right over there. She drops the wand that I was just talking about, the pillage enchantment one. So, it’s definitely uh pretty easy to get, in all honesty, which it’s a nice item to have. Don’t get me wrong. Uh I use it on on longer fights where, you know, I might need to not take, you know, damage shield damage, like complain and hate and stuff like that. Here, not so much. Not that worried about it. Especially uh you could see if you switch to his like a two-hander or something like that. Um he’ll take less damage. Now, I could probably just memorize the spell and be done with it, right? But where’s the fun in that, right? Where is the fun in that? So, she’s a level 22 wizard enchanter. Now, if you’re in a group, she will probably charm you Um or mez you and stuff [laughter] like that. So, uh having that adamant will is probably going to be like a the play for group content, right? Maxing that out. I know like in solo fear, when I was just, you know, just me without anybody in my group, I had like no issues. I was like running around, you know, killing everything. And as soon as I grouped with somebody, I was getting feared. I was getting like, I think, charmed. I was getting all kinds of weird stuff going on. Uh yeah, so here’s the wand. Uh golem golem metal wand. You know, 240 seconds pillaging chance enchantment, which is a pretty nice item, if you ask me. No joke, it’s a pretty nice item. Uh and you can put it in like your any slot or any of your primary stuff. Like, I keep it in my one of my weapons is where I keep it, so I can always click it and uh what not. So, definitely nice. Now, you’ll If you noticed I have uh ignite on uh I’m procking it every once in a while. It’s uh uh shimmering ruby stiletto. Uh proc achievement is just uh a exaltation, I mean. It’s just uh a level one proc that comes from here. From uh one of the names. It’s actually probably one of the best of lower level ones because it procs for what? 46 damage. All right, we hit uh 17. Which means uh we gain the ability to feign death, right? Where is that one at? Where did I put it? There it is, feign death. And we’ll put it like right there. It’s not going to work for a while. I’m going to have to level it up, but definitely uh nice there. All right, so we’re going to go back into balanced. Now I find later on I won’t have to do this, you know, this swap from offensive to balanced. At least with what I play it in the higher levels. It’s just now because I’m doing so much damage it’s taking more stamina. And as you level you get more stamina, right? Uh so it’s a little bit uh a little bit misleading, but luckily we have balanced which doubles the uh doubles the endurance region puts us at what? 42. Now you can you can offset that with bard by getting the you know playing the bard song that does endurance. You can offset that with uh druid or shaman cuz they both provide uh stamina regen with their health regen buffs. So there’s ways around things, but uh definitely uh something to uh keep in mind there. All right, so we’re down here in the last floor, right? And so there’s two more trash mobs there plus this this guy’s uh this guy’s just a just a quest mob. I have no idea who he’s for. He’s not going to aggro. So you got two here and then you’re going to have a three fight here. Um which is one one being the named and then two named here which one is always a paladin from what I can tell. So we’re going to go in here. Now we got a rogue. So we’re just kind of Now you can probably invis past a lot of this junk, I think. Cuz they’re not undead, obviously, but uh you might be able to get past them that way, but I haven’t I’ve never tried. I The only thing I’ve done is rogue stealth and [music] that was when I was level 50 when this uh dungeon got an instance so I could go through and get uh my uh my baron’s blade cuz I was using two yaks. I was using two yaks at like plus four uh doing hate. It was It was It was painful. And uh that one that one just seems to be a little bit better. There we go. Excellent. I wonder wonder if I go into empower, right? Jeez. Could that go from 35 to 40? Not bad. So, empower empower might be the play, right? I don’t know if it affects procs or not, but might be the the better option since we’re not really needing heals at the moment. Surprised I haven’t gotten by the nuke though. Oh, I got smite. Oh, sweet. Switch to smite. We I I like having the ability to like burn something down, right? Um without it it can be painful on some mobs. I’m just going to like be 100% honest there. Like there’s [laughter] some mobs that are just absolute uh pains if you don’t have uh like stuns or anything like that. There we go. All right, so this is going to be a three-way uh right here. So, we got a ranger and a shadow knight. So, I’m going to kill the ads first before I kill them. Uh you can see here, you know, we just got took the harm touch. So, we’re going to throw on a heal for that. And I’m just going to kind of burn this guy down. Not like aggressively, but just like smite him as much as I possibly can to kind of lower his hit points cuz the kind of the trick I’m doing here is this ranger’s got mana. She doesn’t have a lot of mana, but she’s going to waste her mana healing him. And so, I once I get him to the point where she’s going to start healing, uh she’s her her her mitigate her she’s mitigated, right? Uh like we killed him. Now we can switch to her and just kind of schwack on her. I’m going to do an echo of light and then I’m going to do a big heal. And then I’m going to do a man, right? Which puts this bag at pretty much full health. Um which is pretty nice. >> [laughter] >> In all honesty, right? Now, we didn’t burn him a lot of her mana cuz he died so fast, but ideally, you want you want to try to burn some of these casters’ mana if you can’t kill them fast enough. Just because they are going to be like the biggest issue. For some reason, it like anything that’s got anything that can cast is is much more difficult than anything that’s melee. Uh maybe that’s cuz we have so much AC and we we can just kind of like negate most of the that damage, but spells like always land or something like that. Uh that could be definitely a part of the issue, uh but uh I find mage mobs to be some of the hardest mobs at the higher level because they’re just chain nuking you with their highest nuke, which does like 700 damage. Plus they know they’re schwacking you with an earth pet. It’s uh it’s definitely a situation. But she’s her mana is not even going down, which is weird um in all honesty. I’m going to go into recovery and then go into offensive, which will then uh if we go back to melee damage, right? It’s going to kick up our damage a little bit. You you know, like one 169 finishing blow, that’s that’s that’s a low-key pretty strong AA finishing blow. It’s not like on live where it just outright pretty much kills a mob. It just increases your damage on mobs less than 10%. Uh when you get a crit, so it’s pretty nice. Uh let’s see here. I have it auto sold. So, he drops the enchanted fine steel rapier commonly, and then he has a rare item that’s a little better than this that has the proc on it, right? Uh I sell these enchanted fine steel. They’re just not worth my time. But, it’s You see here, this is the soldier and the baron. The baron drops the baron sword, and the soldier drops a two-hander, uh plus I think legs. Chest and baron’s blade is on the baron. And uh I think it’s legs and a two-hander on the other guy. So, let’s check here in a second. Now, he’s a paladin. Uh so, he’s going to be a little bit of a pain in the butt, but uh Luckily, I’m a cleric, and so uh I can I can stun him just as much, >> [laughter] >> if not more. >> [gasps] >> Uh like he’s going to stun me, I’m going to stun him. It’s just going to be a stun fest, you know? I can throw a word of pain in there. Boom. Holy might. As soon as I can. Echoing light. I’ll put this right here so I don’t have to click it. I hate clicking I hate clicking anything on my bar. Uh It is usually for stuff that I want to be more precise on, but uh I try to keep like my one to four here on my mouse to be uh you know, very easy to use. There we go. So, we got the breastplate. We’ll look at that here in just a second. Uh Here we go. So, this is the breastplate of two. So, 16 AC four agility, four dexterity, uh four strength, right? That is actually pretty good. Now, if we look at like I’m wearing a planar one, right? Now, obviously the stats are not as good as the planar one, but that’s uh That’s not really that bad, right? I mean I’m getting the same kind of stats and getting there and stuff like that. got level 18. And then this guy drops the arms, which are uh five strength, four stamina, 10 AC, right? This is This is leather leather class armor with uh some pretty good stats and pretty good AC. So, I mean it’s it’s one of those things that’s like really nice to have. And, you know, getting that to plus four, plus five, which is not going to be that hard to do. Uh I feel like like if I stayed here till like say 25 to 30, right? I think 30’s where I stayed. Well, how far did I get my enchanter? I got my enchanter to 29 here. Uh and that was I only left cuz I was too tired to to keep [laughter] playing. Uh I was making the video last night uh for the the Reaper of the Dead. And, you know, obviously you have to come here for that quest. And I was literally just killing all these mobs over and over and over again. And uh in between the elf spawns, right? And so, it was just easy easy experience. Like, enchanter is a low low-key overpowered. Uh But, that’s a different experience there. Uh but, definitely uh definitely you can get to 30 here. And you would You could probably get to even higher here because those are level 28. So, you could probably get like uh if you really pushed it, like 35. Now, if you stayed here for that long and you’re killing the names mostly and not the trash mobs and you’re just trying to get, you know, upgrade your items. You’re going to have some really good items really quick and all honesty. So, just something to think about if you’re uh doing that. Oh, I love that man. I just love that it works. >> [laughter] >> Just love it. I mean, uh I don’t think it could sustain me without a healer, but uh it would definitely sustain me without a cleric, I think, which is uh you know, adds a lot more variety to builds. Like it’s making me want to try something like uh monk, shaman, berserker, right? Like that sounds like an interesting build. I don’t know if they would it would be able to sustain the damage from berserker stance, though. So, we’re throwing some heals and then So, we got uh he negated our life right canceling life, which makes our heals do 20% less. Uh which is an interesting shadow knight debuff. I don’t I don’t remember if that’s like a thing on uh on live or not, but if it was, I totally never used it cuz mobs don’t really heal as much as uh the things here do. So, you’re fighting a different you’re fighting a different type of AI. Oh, we So, we got rapid fame. Let’s go ahead and pick that up, right? Might as well start spending points in things, all right? Like I mean, we’re 18. Uh I guess this this is going pretty well. Now, I I would say in in difficulty zero, it’s going to go a lot faster for killing these things, right? Like, you’re not going to have any double mobs like we fought. You’re not going to have uh as many hit points. It It should go a lot faster when it comes to these things. Um I I find difficulty two is like the best place for leveling uh if you can handle it, right? You get enough experience bonus that it’s it’s not too bad. And you’re not you’re not constantly fighting every mob with a pet as you would in D4. And you don’t have you don’t have to deal with the extra resists that that come with D4, either. So, something to keep in mind there. I know a lot of people have been saying they want to level in D4, but I’m saying it’s probably not worth your effort in all honesty. There we go. How are you casting on me, buddy? What are you? You’re shadow, right? I love that I can I can see their class and stuff. It makes things a little bit more uh transparent. I’m dropping, you know, quite a bit of damage, right? Like, I’m not in offensive. Let’s go back in offensive here. Smite him. And the way I’m playing right now, it might be better to be in uh striker uh since I’m casting a little bit more. So, it might be better for those to get that bonus and stuff like that. So, this is uh the enchanted fine steel, which is definitely going to be better than a rusty weapon, right? Like, seven strength, four agility. I mean, that’s a pretty neat decent weapon uh and stuff like that. I’m going to sell it cuz I don’t need it. Uh but, definitely uh if you do need it, it’s there. So, that is But, these two are already up again. Uh so, that’s kind of crazy, right? Like I’m killing so slow that the names have respawned by the time I kill it. Uh so I got Let’s try it Let’s try that. Let’s do striker, but then I’m going to cast more. And let’s go into divine. So, we heal ourselves with the cast. And so, we shouldn’t burn as much stamina because we’re we’re going to spending most of our time in cast lock, right? And then when we So, like it says smite, tiger claw, cleave, and roundhouse kick all hit at the same time, right? Pretty interesting. Pretty interesting. What do we got here? We got two of them. All right. Uh I’m going to kill the paladin paladin necromancer first. That was terrible combo to fight. I’m going to fight him first. He stuns me. I’m going to stun him. It’s going to be a whole thing. There we go. And then I’m going to get that on. And then So, once my casting’s done, all three of them go off at the same time. You can see there I cleave for 4 144 186. I kick. I strike. I pierce. I do it all at once. It’s really nice, actually. It actually feels pretty good to get that much out at once. So, let’s get uh Let’s get healing back on. And it’s going to be soon. He’s He’s definitely not taking any damage. Uh like You see this? He’s level 20. He’s just like stunning me. He’s like But like his friend is already 61%, right? I’m not doing any damage to him. Uh except cleave. So, all right, we’re running out of stamina. I’m going to switch to balanced. I’m going to keep doing this, but I’m going to pop into recovery. All right, so this is the the niceness of these invocations and these stances, right? You can kind of pick and choose what you want at the time and switch between them. I wish there was a little bit more merging of them. I feel there’s, you know, there’s a lot of them and so some of them are just not as not as fun. Like inversion doesn’t feel as fun because you’re kind of getting punished for casting faster, whereas arcane mastery, which I don’t have in this combo, is like all the good stuff. >> [laughter] >> It’s It’s definitely uh It’s definitely a different like arc- arcane mastery with uh necro and shadow knight is crazy because your life tops go fast. Uh everything goes fast. Why is this guy not dying? Geez, he’s just like constantly uh stunning me. He’s stunning me and healing himself. That is uh that is some clever AI right there. Oh, and he negated my health uh cuz he’s a necromancer. All right, I see. I see how this is going. All right, just going to uh hold off on casting cuz I’m going to save it all from heals at this point. And I think he lays hands once during the fight. Uh hope- hopefully he’s already done that. Uh hopefully. It’s definitely a hard fight here. Not that it’s hard, it’s just like it’s it’s a battle of attrition, right? Like that’s that’s really what we’re dealing with here. I should have put the other stun up on my bar, but I didn’t. Doesn’t look like smite doesn’t interrupt. I thought it did. Yeah, just does damage. All right. He’s almost out of mana, so we’re we’re going to be fine. We’re we’re in uh recovery. We’re going to pop into defensive, which is another clever thing that warriors get, right? Like being able to go being able to pop in defensive like totally negates a lot of melee damage. A lot. Like uh an extreme amount of melee damage gets negated from uh from that, right? So, let’s do our heal over time. Like he’s he doesn’t even know what to do. He’s got no mana now, so he’s just like doing that, but I’m going to slowly build up my resources to negate pretty much his resources, so you can see there he’s about to bite the dust. Going back into offensive. And there we go. We got a Baron’s Blade plus three. And we’re going to merge that into my Baron Blade six, which will keep it at six, right? What do we have here? We’re four more four more upgrade. And uh we’ll be able to get that to seven. So, that’s pretty nice. And uh that is one of the cool things about these uh difficulties is you can get like a plus or minus uh you know, like you can get a higher level item than your instance, so it’s pretty nice. So, like I got a gloves or arms three. And uh merge those with whatever we had, which puts them at almost ready to upgrade to four. And we hit level 19. So, pretty nice, right? I got trying to show how fun this is. See here 19 celestial remedy 18 reconstitution 20 greater healing. All right. Let’s put Let’s put that heal over time. So like this is another one like this heal over time is better than the shaman one, too. And let’s grab the other stun. I feel like we’re going to need that. Also I get 33 seconds of healing. So it’s pretty nice. Now this guy here you know you know we haven’t gotten his rare drop yet. So hopefully we can pick up one today. Just to show it but you can definitely stay here to 30. I’m I don’t plan on staying here to 30. I prefer Guk. I like in all honesty I prefer Guk for for leveling. I just I I’ve spent so much time there. I know all the little nooks and crannies. I know exactly where to you know I can go and stuff like that. It’s just you know I’m used to it. So it’s definitely fun there for me. Echoing light Does echoing light and remedy stack? Oh my god they do. Oh my. It could stun you. I’m going to put the stun right here. Should be three. I mean it feels like overpowered to be able to like stun lock these guys. Now like with the enchanter if you remember from the Blackbarrow video we were able to pretty much mez lock everything. So it was pretty funny. We got the same item there. I’m going to skip that room. And we can go back up here. Kill this ranger and rogue. There we go. Cool, look at that. 120 cleaves. Stun her. 70 kicks. Now, if I put on my uh, warrior boots, I would get bigger kicks, I believe. Uh, significantly larger kicks cuz it’s like 30 or 40 AC versus the 15 AC. So, definitely, uh, you know, things to think about in your itemization, but uh, it is uh, it is pretty crazy. Now, um, I’ll see here. Uh, I I I don’t know. I don’t know where I was going with that one. But, uh, definitely, uh, feel like we’re getting, you know, pretty well. I think in in zero, no one’s going to have any problem here. Honestly, I don’t think anybody would have problems fighting down here and looting things along the way that they can use from level five all the way down. Because, obviously, I’m selling all the all all the stuff like this ring mail. Like, this would be stuff you would wear, right? You’d wear that stuff if you don’t have anything in those slots. And you’d be able to get ring mail, bronze, um, the fine steel stuff, like all spawns here. So, it’s it’s a very nicely itemized zone for uh, some of that. Let’s put this right there. This is just hilarious. And then we can mend even more. What is our I wish I knew what my health My health regen is four right now, but uh, I wish I knew what my HP’s per second was at 65. Yeah, that’s pretty nice. And then Oh. All right, I guess we’re fighting these guys and didn’t realize. But these guys are pretty good experience. So that’s nice. What’s this? Oh, he’s only a yellow. I didn’t realize that. That’s going to give us another AA, which we already we already spent all our A’s. Oh, there’s that 165 cleave, 204 cleave. Like cleave is is is the jam. Uh cuz it hits all the mobs, right? Like four mobs uh 1 + 3 is definitely uh definitely nice when you’re fighting a lot of mobs. There you go. Now we’re snared. See here, let’s do it. These two heal over times are pretty nice. Not going to lie. And then we’re in recovery. And we’re in striker stance, too. Uh let’s go to balanced and divine. And then we’re going to do more uh more healing. Oh, we’re already full life. Never mind. >> [laughter] >> Jeez. Uh definitely uh getting to that point where I’m kind of really over-gearing it. Whereas it was kind of like marginally over-geared before, I would say. Let’s quick buff. Just replace all our buffs. And kill the knight. Uh so, I think we’ll probably wrap this up here. Uh Uh I guess now. >> [laughter] >> Like there’s not much left to kill here that we haven’t already killed. And uh I got some things to do today, but definitely like Befallen revamped is a very fun dungeon, right? Like Uh the flow is a lot better, I would say. Uh you know, maybe at that at that you know, that 15 mark, stay on the second floor a little longer if things down here are too hard for you. Uh but it only goes up to like 20. You can get to 29 easily. Like I got to 29 without even trying with my enchanter uh shadow knight cleric. Uh you could definitely probably get to 30 uh if not higher if you’re trying to get one of these items to drop and you’re trying to get it upgraded, right? Like uh obviously these fine steel ones are the commons, but that might actually be a decent weapon for you, right? Like I’m not going to lie. Uh that’s just how things are. So, like some things might be a decent weapon. Uh so, you might want to you might want those, right? All right, we got these guys again. I don’t want to fight them again. That was too long and I don’t have mana, so uh we’re going to call it right there, but that is Befallen. Uh Definitely going to be one of the first zones I go to after I’ve uh gotten out of the newbie yard uh when this game goes live. So, uh if you’ve got any questions or comments, uh any other thoughts, let me know. Uh but uh thank you very much for watching and please have a fantastic day. >> Mhm.
