Master Yael - SK / SHM / NEC - d0,d1,d2,d3,d4 solo
Shadowknight, Shaman and Necromancer against Yael at every difficulty, with Reaper of the Dead slotted in. Yael deals mostly magic damage, which is why he makes such a clean build test.
A deliberate break from the Warrior and Cleric or Warrior and Bard shape that most of these runs use. Shadowknight, Shaman and Necromancer is almost entirely a damage over time build, and it takes Yael at all five difficulties back to back, first attempt each. It is also the first outing for Reaper of the Dead now the quest is finished, and the run ends with a parse of every fight, which is where the health ladder below comes from.
Why Yael Is the Test Dummy
Stated outright in this one.
- He deals mostly magic damage, which makes him forgiving and easy to read when you are measuring a build rather than fighting for loot.
- There are no phases and no area attacks. Just adds you can kill, so differences between builds show cleanly.
- His loot is unremarkable, which is precisely why he gets used this way.
- He is a Cleric, Shaman and Wizard at difficulty four, the same as the previous run, so the magic damage is not an accident of the roll.
- Cazic Thule and InnoruukEverQuest LegendsInnoruuk, the Prince of HateZoneThe Plane of HateHealth: measured, per difficultyd0 32,074 (31,894 to 32,253) · 10 kills · hit 1,600d1 35,294 (35,080 to 35,507) · 10 kills · hit 1,512d2 51,037 to 60,776 · 10 kills · hit 894d3 73,627 to 89,929 · 14 kills · hit 983d4 80,068 to 122,513 · 27 kills · hit 1,026 are next, with a week and a half of beta left. I skip the dragons deliberately: I can kill them, but their area attack for 400 to 600 complicates a build test and I want nothing they drop.

- A stance and an invocation are separate slots and run together, so you are always in one of each. Mage Hunter is the stance; Arcane Mastery, Recover and Over Channel are invocations, and switching between those three is what the fight actually consists of.
- Mage Hunter cuts magic damage by half, and physical by twenty percent. Against a boss whose damage is mostly magic that is the whole fight, and it is something a Warrior simply cannot do: the stance is Paladin, Shadowknight and Berserker only.
- It is paid for in endurance, one point per point of damage absorbed, reduced by your Strategy skill. That is what empties your stamina bar in a long fight rather than anything Yael is doing.

- Over Channel to force a resist through: a 150 point resist adjustment, plus 15 more per non-hybrid caster class, paid for in endurance worth a tenth of the mana cost.
- CannibalizationEverQuest LegendsCannibalizationCannibalization I, when activated, consumes 1924 health to restore 1066 mana. On a three minute refresh it is a top-up rather than an engine, which is why Recover is doing the real sustaining.
Caster adds are the real threat, not Yael. A chain healing channeler costs me more mana than the boss does, and I say it plainly in the run: NPC casters are far stronger than player ones.
What the Parse Says
The health ladder, difficulty by difficulty.
| Difficulty | Parsed in this run | eqldb, measured on live |
|---|---|---|

| 1 | 33,000 | 33,629 to 35,747 |

| 3 | ~66,000 | 66,525 to 74,495 |
| 4 | 71,000 | 70,809 to 78,835 |
- Dots carried about 40% of the damage, melee only 7 to 9%. Odium was usually the top dot, being the one that landed most reliably.
- Reaving Strike outdamages my actual swings, and it does not care whether you hold a one-hander or a two-hander, so I keep the shield for the armour class.
- I tanked 87% of the damage at difficulty four, healed myself for 21,000 and overhealed by only 1,600.
- Burning Affliction III is not on my gear yet, so the dot numbers here are a floor rather than a ceiling.
Worth noting against the beta caveat below. The Pet Is Not a Passenger

- The Necromancer pet held up at every difficulty and took 12% of the incoming damage at difficulty four without dying.

It ran to 30% of the pet's damage when cast on the pet, against about 2% of mine when cast on myself. - It lasts a minute, which means recasting constantly and swapping target to do it. That is the only real friction in the build.
- Give the pet better weapons. My own note at the time: it is dual wielding whatever it came with, and handing it the Warrior's weapons would obviously beat that.

- Save the Promised Renewal click, which lands 13 seconds after you press it. I used it at difficulty four and did not actually need it.
- Difficulty three was trivial; four was the only one that required attention, and even that came down to mana rather than health.
Beta footage, recorded before launch. The health figures above turned out to survive it, but gear and spell numbers did not necessarily.
Yael with Shadowknight, Shaman and Necromancer
- Clear the adds first, then pull with Bond of Death so the healing starts immediately.
- Over Channel, then Malosi, then slow. Always slow, even when it looks unnecessary.
- Stack every dot and let the adds die to a single application.
- Sit in Mage Hunter for the halved magic damage.
- Swap to Recover when mana dips, and spend Cannibalization whenever its three minutes are up.
- Keep Spirit of the Puma on the pet, not on yourself.
- Kill healer adds properly rather than ignoring them, because they will outlast you.
- Hold the Promised Renewal click for a real emergency, remembering the 13 second delay.

Hello and welcome to Everquest Legends beta. Today uh we’re doing a different build. Uh we’re going to start with Yale today and uh see how far we can get. Uh this build is a Shadow Knight Shaman Necromancer. Uh this is a little bit different than what we have uh done in the past considering almost all my videos are warrior warrior cleric or warrior bard. Uh this build plays a lot different than uh than uh what you would expect. And uh my item is not in there. I was [laughter] just just about to show it. Good thing I checked beforehand. Uh Reaper of the Dead, right? So, by now the video for this should be out there. And uh Reaper of the Dead is the uh Can I put this in one of these items? What are the slots on this thing? Primary and secondary. I should be able to put it in here. >> [laughter] >> Yes, there we go. All right. Sorry. Um now uh you know, I did a video on the Reaper of the Dead and getting the faction for it and all that stuff. So, uh we have this. It is a 100 uh 1,200 second recast. So, that’s 20-minute recast promise renewal. So, if we need a heal, uh we can theoretically get one uh by by begging for it. >> [laughter] >> So, it’s going to be fun. Now, this is a mostly dot build, right? I’m going to be casting dots as much as I can. I don’t know what’s going to land. I don’t know what’s going to happen. Uh I have not done this yet. And now I have uh I have Mallow here. What do I Do I have Mallow up here? Yeah, there we go. So, we’re going to overchannel Mallow, overchannel slow, and then we’re going to dot them up, right? That’s going to be kind of the process. We’re going to go um arcane mastery most of the time. Uh as long as we can land the spells, I don’t know what’s going to happen. So, let’s let’s give this a shot. This is going to be difficulty one, right? We’re going to start with difficulty zero and work our way up to difficulty four, right? Uh in the first one, I’ll show me killing all the trash and then in the follow on, uh I’ll just show in the engagement of Yale. So, let’s go ahead and create that instance. There, and we’re good to go. Just kind of waiting for uh getting all my mana back. >> [laughter] >> We’re uh good to go there. Now, uh I am going to be using the necromancer pet. Uh he is uh uh he’s going to be fine. I think he should survive. He should survive, but uh we’ll see how this works out, but uh uh we’re going to try to kill all the ads first because this is going to be a a lot of damage and we’re going to have to survive it. So, let’s go down here, clicky the rocky, and go right up to this guy, schwack him. Come on. Do you not want to be schwacked? There you go, buddy. All right. So, we’re going to numpad two. That’s going to give us uh inven a bolt. Uh these are light blue, right? He’s like almost already dead. >> [laughter] >> What? Uh inven a bolt does 352 damage on normal strikes, so it’s not uh terrible. Now, see if we can pull this guy. Yeah, we got uh we got master Yale. So, we’re going to switch into overchannel. We’re going to mellow him. I’m going to ignore the ad uh for right now. [clears throat] I’m going to slow him. Get slow on there. Perfect. I’m going to go back into arcane mastery. We’re going to see if we can land dots on him Arcane without uh uh overchannel. There we go. We got life tap dot. We’re going to get poison dot. >> [laughter] >> And poison dot did not land. All right, poison dot is not landing on him. So, we’ll switch back to overchannel. So, I’m going to go do a drain soul to kind of heal up a little bit. Now, you notice I completely ignored the ad once I dotted him. I knew he was dead. Right? That’s how strong the dots are. Let’s do overchannel uh and venom bolt. There we go. We landed it. Overchannel plague. And then overchannel ignite blood, which is the 47. Necro dot now. Looks like bonded death is fading off, so let’s rebond. And let’s target this guy. Oh, jeez. All right, where is he at? Let’s target him. Let’s do uh all that. Now, I’m going to stoicism, which is our uh heal over time spell. So, we get that going. Uh I’m going to do drain soul. Let’s do empower since I’m going to be draining to try to get a little extra heal there. You can see that. Definite going pretty well there. Right? And what do we got? We got some dots wearing off here. Let’s go back to Arcane Mastery. See if we can get bonded death back on without overchannel. Perfect. So, over overchannel’s only required for uh invenom bolt. Uh what about fire? Nope, fire worked just fine. Uh he’s got 48 seconds left on that slow. So, let’s re-slow him just so we don’t have to think about that. And oh, he’s already running, so never mind. Uh, relatively relatively went well. I like in you know, if you remember from the previous uh previous kills with the other ones, it was more or less staying alive from the nukes, but uh really didn’t even notice them there. So, uh we got uh a a moat. We got two earth shakers. Putting my earth shaker up to six, so pretty a nice there. So, now I’m what I’m going to do is going to do that exact same thing again, but on difficulty one. So, we’ll be back in a moment. All right, here we go. So, I’m I’m not full mana, so I’m going to wait just a little bit longer. Uh but, I wanted to uh make sure we are good to go. Now, I know in the last one I didn’t do Puma, so if I wanted to tell me that I didn’t do Puma, well, I didn’t cuz I didn’t. >> [laughter] >> It’s only last a minute, so it’s kind of tedious. And I have to change my target, so um it is what it is now. But, what what we’re going to do is once we hit 100 mana, we’re going to dot him again. Just like we did before. There we go. And arcane mastery, right? So, that should have landed on him. We got Yale coming. So, we’re going to swap to over channel. Going to drop Malo. There we go. He’s Malo’d. He’s going to get slowed. And then I’m going to pop stoicism again, right? So, this is uh this is a heal over time torpor. It’s going to slow my melee attacks, uh but that’s fine. Uh we’re going to do bonded death, which is our uh heal over time uh dot. And then we’re going to actually life tap him cuz we keep we’re getting stunned here. There we go. Couldn’t see what he was actually casting on me here. All right, let’s try bonded death again. Now, this is difficulty one, right? So, there we go. We got bonded death. We probably get Odium on here. Uh there we go. Let’s get another. Kill there. Now, this channeler is still swacking on me. There he is. So, let’s dot him again. He’s a cleric, so he’s going to heal up a little bit in this one. In this version. There we go. All right. Now, we got the fighty fiend on us. So, let’s dot him. And now we can probably ignore him since he was not going to be a bigger threat. All right, I’m going to restore stoicism just to get our health back up a little bit passively. And I’m still in overchannel, so I should probably try to get some dots on him. There we go. Plague. Ignite blood. And now we’re going to switch to heal. Let me overpower just to get a little life back here. Get like two of these maybe. Uh there we go. And then we’re going to go go back into envenom bolt with overchannel. And what are we we missing here? We got malediction. All right, so bond has worn off. Now, my pet should kill that thing. >> [laughter] >> He should do something useful and kill it, right? All right, we’re going to go back into arcane mastery. Enduring soul. Uh one more time. There we go. Mastery ale looking pretty solid right there. Looks like I’m locked out on loot, so who knows what that even means. Um definitely some kind of weird loot lockout thing going on. Now, he is slowed for 24 seconds. He’s 12%. I don’t think I need to This two-minute fight, right? Um definitely don’t went pretty good there. Now, I’m going to try to envenom bolt. I know he’s almost dead. I just want to see if it lands. It lands without over channel, so >> [laughter] >> we’re good there. Uh looks like Looks like he was cashed. We got Looks like we got a serpent’s tooth and a uh briddle. So, that’s pretty nice. All right. So, difficulty one down with this build. So, now we’re going to do the same thing again. Difficulty two. We’ll be right back. I’m going to get full mana and do that. All right. So, we’re back in. Now, if I didn’t mention it before, I’m going to do all the show all the parsing at the end. Uh I didn’t even have a good log parser, but I do have the uh those fights in the uh the logs, so we will uh we will definitely see those at the end of this, right? Uh I’m going to do bond and death on this guy right here on the on the start because uh he’s going to aggro aggro the boss, which we’re going to then switch over here. Uh let’s go into defensive stance for this one. Let’s do over channel. And then uh let’s do ignite blood. Uh I meant mal off. It still landed, so that’s fine. Uh I wanted mage hunter, but I forgot to put it on my bar, so I’ll have to put that on for the next one. Let’s go disease and then get slow on. Probably don’t even need the slow in all honesty, but uh might as well. Let’s get venom bolt on. Wedge landed. Let’s get odium on. Wedge landed, so fire is about to drop. And let’s get bonded death back on. Perfect. Now Bonded death healed me for 250 points. Very nice. I didn’t even I have I I did like one life tap. I didn’t even do the heal over time this time. Uh let’s see here. Do we have a second before we get swapped here? Uh the uh mage hunter. Let’s grab that one. Put that one right That’s a stance right, yeah. >> [laughter] >> So, mage hunter will reduce magical damage by 50%. So, uh might be kind of useful in this situation, right? Here, let’s just pop into it real quick and let’s just see uh where this is going to land. Let’s re-fire dot him. He’s got a lot more hit points, obviously. Uh we got a minute on slow. So, let’s get invenom bolt back on. And let’s get bonded death back on. And let’s get this on, right? Perfect. Now, uh I think plague’s the only one we don’t have on there. So, let’s try to get Let’s try to try to play this right. Uh I’m going to go back into recovery because I don’t I don’t think I’m going to need to cast anything else, in all honesty. Maybe a few more of these, but uh we’ll see how it goes. Oh, you know what I didn’t do again? I didn’t do Puma. You know who else needs Puma? My little friend here. There we go. I don’t like it will expel damage, right? Like Puma does 154 damage. It’s not a whole lot. It’s like a dot. Um but uh definitely not going to uh be a a big issue there. Let’s go ahead and get that dotted up. I think he should just die from dots or my pet will kill him. But so far so good, right? Like we haven’t had too many issues at all with Yael. Uh and we’re on two, so we got two more difficulties to go, three and four. And I’m in Mage Hunter right now, which is just like totally negating most of his damage. Uh looks like he’s about to die. I’m going to try to bond to death. I should have bonded to death him, but uh There we go. Perfect. 1% He’s going to snare me for the sake of snaring me. There we go. He’s swacked. We got two more serpent tooths and stuff like that. So that was pretty uh pretty good. Uh pretty good experiment right there. Uh let’s do Stoicism. I’m going to go ahead and redo this and get the third event, so we’ll be right back. All right, we’re back in for a three, so we’re going to beat this guy here down real quick. And then uh we’ll pull the boss. Now, I’m going to start this one in uh in Overchannel and I’m going to start it in Mage Hunter. Um Now, defensive reduces magic damage by 20%. Mage Hunter does it by 50%, so that I feel like is going to be a little bit of an advantage for us over like the warrior because the warrior won’t be able to do that. Uh I wonder if I can just pull this guy without aggroing to the boss, right? I can. Oh, sweet. All right, so we’ll kill him now. And then we’ll kill the other guy here in a second. Perfect. Where’s my pet? Let’s pull my him. Now the pet is is okay. He’s not perfect, but he’s okay. All right, we’re going to pull this one with bonded death so that we get those healing right away. And then I think I’m going to drop a another life tap on him just to make sure I’m tapped up. And then over here on Astri’dal, we’re going to do Mallow. And then we’re going to get slow on him cuz slow should negate a lot of his damage immediately. And he’s slowed. And then we’re going to go into bonded death. And looks like my pet is killing the over channeler, so or the channeler, so that’s going to be fine there. All right, slow landed. Let’s get plague on there. Let’s get EB on there. Ooh, he stunned us. All right. I’m going to do stoicism just to tap some of that free health cuz my melee doesn’t matter. Like, truly my melee does not matter in this build at all. Uh especially getting like chain stunned. This this one’s uh Astri’dal is a healer. So, he’s going to be a little bit of a pain. Uh so that’s going to be mostly trying to drain his life down. Oh, I think I already did this one. Oh. Oh, I did. It’s already worn off. Perfect. So, now I don’t I think I’ve only done one heal, so I will we’ll look at all that here at the end at the end. And we’ll do another unvenom bolt. And second lost alacrity. All right, let’s get rid of this guy. He’s He’s causing some issues. Let’s drain soul. And let’s drop venom bolt on him. I’m going to drop one more heal. Let’s go into arcane mastery. There we go. Oh, can I target my pet? I’m going to pum on my pet. And then I’m going to pum on my soul. There we go. All right, perfect. Now, uh we should be good. Now, you you’ll notice I’m at 25% mana. And that that that could be that could be a situational issue, right? Um it does about 2,000 damage, right? So, I’m going to If I click cannibalize, I’ll get you know, about 2,000 damage, right? So, definitely uh something there. All the dots are off, so we’re going to probably do bond to death. Get that on. Then we’re going to do stoicism, right? I’m going to pop leech uh cannibalize, right? And then I’m going to drop venom bolt. And then I’m going to drop fire. Cuz he has no mana, right? He is he’s no mana. He’s He’s going to be onslaught here in a second. There we go. Resload. I’m going to go back into defensive stance. Since he doesn’t have any mana, so he’s not doing any you know, anything to us, really. And we should be fine there. Maybe top a life tap onto that. There we go. And we just got to whittle him down. I mean, venom bolt’s already wearing off, so that’s fine. Get that on there. This one back on. And what is that? Bond to death. Perfect. Bond to death there. And he’s like a rooted me so I can’t I can’t get over there to to get the pet off the pet’s tanking him, right? Like literally the pet is tanking him at this point. Um, so that’s kind of funny. Cuz I am uh there we go. I got someone finally. All right, reinvent them bolt. And And bonded death has a little bit more time on it. Let’s do that. And What I’m going to do here is I’m going to turn my pet. I’m going to pummel my pet. I’m going to go back here. Now, I don’t like pummelling myself probably not as probably wouldn’t be it’d be nice, but uh it’s probably not worth the mana in all honesty right now. Cuz I’m going to drop another invent a bolt. There we go. Now, the cool thing about arcane mastery it’s got some damage reduction, but we’re going to go into recovery because it doubles my mana regen, which is currently at 90 mana regen. Right? I have lich. I have uh everything else that I got in my my kid here. Right? So, we’re going to do a bonded death. Which I think landed hopefully. Bonded death, stoicism, and then we’re going to go into a cannibalization, right? And then we’re going to go into them power and then we’re going to pop drain soul. And you can kind of see here difficulty three uh was trivial. So, there we go. We got a robe. We got another earth shaker. So, there. All right. So, now we’re going to do difficulty four, which I think will be a little bit more of a challenge, right? I think it’ll be a little bit more. But, we’ll see. We’ll be right back. All right, we’re in difficulty four. We’re clearing the trash. The imp wandered over to us, so this will be a little bit better >> [laughter] >> than I was hoping. And you can see here, like this is the pet damage, right? He’s proccing the axe that he’s dual wielding. He’s doing 150 154 damage with Puma. Uh and he’s doing a lot of other stuff. He did a harm touch on the first mob, which yeah which is kind of funny, but uh totally a waste. Now, this is a warrior necro, so it’s going to be a little bit of a thing. Now, I haven’t looked at Yael yet to see what he is, but uh looks like he is a cleric shaman wizard, which he was before. And this guy is a cleric druid, so we have our work cut out for us. So, we’re going to pull with bonded death for us. Right now, we have recovery on. Um we’re going to go into overchannel. We’re going to mellow this guy as soon as we can. Hopefully, I don’t mess any of this up. Like that. I just want to get him slowed. Perfect. And then we can start dotting him. Let’s get stoicism going. These stuns are like the most annoying thing, the spell stuns. Let’s see, he’s like chain casting uh stoicism and plague. God, he plagued us. Uh got that. All right. Get bonded death on him. Now, you can have bonded death on multiple targets from what I can tell. Uh so, jeez. Oh my god, two stuns in a row. Jeez, he’s just like going crazy. All right, let’s re uh invulnerable this guy just to try to get him off the board here. I’m going to life tap him. And then life tap him in recovery. I’m going to get rid of this guy, right? Like he’s causing He’s causing more issues. He’s stunning me. Yale’s stunning me, so If I If I just do these uh drain souls in recovery, we should be fine. Even though it’s not really doing much cuz he’s just chain healing himself. Now, if theoretically Yale will heal him, so should be fine. But we’re in Mage Hunter, so we’re not going to take a lot of mage or magic damage, right? Uh so that’s going to be fine. I’m going to get my pet. I’m going to put Puma on my pet. I’m wasting a lot more mana trying to kill this thing than I spent on Yale so far. Uh he’s still slowed. I’m going to refresh that slow just in case. I’m going to target this thing. I’m going to tell my pet to attack that, right? Like I don’t want I want this thing gone cuz it’s the biggest my biggest threat right now. Okay, let’s try Bond of Death again. Now that he’s kind of like calmed down. Oh my god. I thought he’s calmed down. He’s not. He’s not calming down. Over channel. Actually, let’s do Let’s do a life tap real quick. Let’s do inversion. There we go. That’s much faster. Back to Arcane Mastery. Geez, how does so much mana does this stupid thing have? Yeah. Caster NPCs are way stronger than uh player NPCs or player casters. I’ll tell you that right now. All right. So, what do we What do we have? Slow’s about to wear off. Let’s refresh that. And let’s get into Well, let’s see if Bond of Death lands. Let’s get all our dots on. And there we go. I’m going to go into recovery because I’m I’m going to need mana. Uh I’m at 2,300 hit points. He’s out of mana though. He’s out of mana. I’m I’m low on mana, so it’s kind of a just stay alive game right now. Which is not too bad, right? There we go. Actually, let’s do define. Uh this is actually a nice tactic I’d like to show. Um so, let’s do Bond of Death, right? Bond of Death costs 218 mana-ish, right? I don’t know how much it’s actually going to res- resolve to. If we look at healing, right? I healed myself for 233 points from that Bond of Death, right? 193 points from that uh Drain Soul, right? So, definitely uh you know, casting dots is uh going to uh definitely help us us stay alive here. Cuz I am going to uh >> [laughter] >> I am going to There we go. Canalize. Excellent. And we’re going to want another Bond of Death. And and Odium. I go back into Arcane Mastery. All right. Now, the fight is calm. >> [laughter] >> Fight is calm now. Uh we just got to keep our dots on, right? is uh this is tier four. This is the hardest uh version of solo Yale you can fight. And uh we’re doing doing okay. Looks like poison’s not on, so let’s do poison. And that is on. What are these? This is Odium. Let’s get the one back on. Excellent. I’m going to do a stoicism. I’ll give me a little bit of healing. I’m going to put Puma on my pet. Cuz of my pet, I feel like he’s doing more melee, right? He’s dual-wielding. He’s got a He’s got him. He’s uh he’s definitely doing doing the good stuff, right? So, it’s just a matter of me uh turtling, right? So, I feel I feel like this is a turtle build, right? I’m using a shield, which gives me bash. I’m using Reeve, which is giving me a little bit of spell damage, right? Like you can see Reeve 338 damage. Um my life taps are like 420 or 450. Um plus the procs, right? So, it it’s it’s a little, you know, what it is, right? It’s [laughter] definitely uh that I’m running out of mana again. So, let’s just go straight into recovery. That’ll put us back at 90 mana regen. We’re out of health regen, though. So, uh There we go. Now, we can go into defensive since he’s out of mana. So, we burn our endurance instead of uh that, but Uh let’s go get here. Looks like slow were off, and I wasn’t paying attention, so going to get slow back on. Uh there. And now, uh what I’m going to do is I’m going to click my blood moon. Promise renewal. All right, that’s going to heal me in 13 seconds. So, I just need to stay alive for 13 seconds. I don’t think we even needed it. Like it’s a 10%. Um but uh definitely uh We’re low on mana, so uh not too bad. >> [laughter] >> Not too bad for difficulty four. And then uh once he dies, we will uh talk about the stuff, right? So, there we go. I’m going to cannibalize. Cuz I like to burn all my health. Now, this this is going to This won’t be up for uh like 100 or 1,200 seconds, so you know, we got some time there. Uh does [clears throat] not look like that landed, but I’m just going to do a life tap cuz he’s dead. There we go. And we got uh see here a serpent tooth. Uh upgraded that from uh five to six, so that is uh a a 2027 weapon, right? This is what I use on my warrior, so that’s pretty nice. And our belt got upgraded a little bit more, too. So, that is that is fantastic. All right. Now, uh what everybody probably wants to see is uh the parsing. So, this is difficulty zero right here, right? Um you can see this is my pet. Um let’s do it like this. Um uh leader My leader is no merc guard. Uh that’ll make the damage a little bit cleaner when it comes to uh stuff, right? So, we click here. DPS breakdown selected now. This is difficulty one, so we can kind of just expand these all out. And uh take a look, all right. So, our highest damage hit on all of that was a 1,600 crit from um looks to be drain soul. So, we got a 1,600 point critical heal. So, that was probably one one the empowered ones. Now, EQ log parser is not 100% perfect on parsing this EverQuest Legends data, but it’s close enough, I would say. Now, DPS-wise, like it was obviously all all dots. I was not doing enough enough melee. I was 9% of my damage was melee, right? It’s definitely not a lot, but you can see here Odium was the highest highest damage dot because I was able to land it without overchannel on that first fight. Uh and you can kind of see, you know, there is it they’re hitting pretty well. Like Inevitable had a crit of 1,200. So, that’s pretty nice. Right? Uh my pet was 10% of my total damage, right? So, that’s not that’s nothing to laugh about, right? Um and I did not Puma him for this one. So, that is that. So, not too bad, right? Like 27,000 damage uh looks to be. Uh yeah, that’s how much. No, 30,000. I did 27,000, my pet did three three 3,000, right? So, it’s not bad. Not bad at all. Uh let’s look at difficulty one. So, let’s uh There we go. This should select. Uh this one had 33,000 hit points. So, a little bit more hit points and uh the pet did 20% of the damage in this one. So, uh we’ll look at that breakdown. And let’s click this and click this. And that. All right. So, uh you can see here Puma did uh 2.95% of my damage. I I started casting it on myself in this one. I did not cast it on my pet. Now, he’s he did 20% of the damage this time. Way more damage. Um he might have actually been fighting the boss longer uh this time because of uh you know, just got lucky. I turned off greater hold so he just like attacked whatever uh whatever came at me, right? Now, Riven Strike is my top damage in this one. If we go back to the other one, Riven Strike was 14% and the dots were better. Right? In this one, I did more damage with melee uh via Riven Strike and Drain Soul and my earthquake procs and the direct damage from those dots, right? Uh these are the still 40% of my damage came from dots, which uh you know, it’s another max hit of 1,200 there. My damage shield from Banshee Aura did a little bit, you know, so it’s pretty nice there, but you can definitely see the upgrade and damage there. Still 9% on the slashes, which was about 9%, so my melee damage is not really where I’m coming from. Uh I’m using you know, a one-hander. Uh Riven Strike does not do different if you’re using a two-hander or using a one-hander. Uh I’m using the one-hander so that I can uh get the extra AC from the shield. Uh now, if I had a better two-hander than uh let’s say Soul Eater, maybe I would use that in this build and it might work out pretty well. There’s no penalty for two-handing. Uh you just lose the AC, so it might you know, if I had the sky weapon, it definitely be something I would consider switching to. Now, uh overall, you know, the the dots definitely uh definitely really good in this one. Now, that was, you know, 3K damage difference between those two. But then it goes up 15K in this next one here. Uh and he’s doing 48 uh 48,000 HP, you know, 16% was the pet, you know, 83% was me. Let’s jump into that and see what this looks like. So, let’s expand all of these so we can see everything. So, it looks like my dot damage was a lot better in this one. And I think that was because I was really more focused on getting the dots out this time than I was before. Now, on this one I did give the pet Puma and you can see here 30% of the pet’s damage was Puma, so that’s pretty nice. But, the majority of his damage was just just him slashing with two yaks, right? Now, imagine if he had better weapons. Um It’s probably I should probably just give my warrior weapons to him at all times. I’d then probably be better and then put the yak procs in him. But, uh you know, I didn’t think about that at the time. Now, um you can definitely see that uh you know, the dots still about 1,200 max hit crit, so that’s not bad. We didn’t get any crits on uh dream soul. Uh we did three dream souls, so that’s that’s not too bad, right? Like, I’m not doing a lot of healing. I didn’t do superhero ones on myself. I didn’t heal the pet, so definitely a a more controlled fight, right? Like, this is a this is a very good fight for this kind of stuff because it’s controlled. He doesn’t have AoEs, he just has the ads that you can kind of kill and stuff. Um but, not too bad. I think overall, uh this one’s this is a pretty good one. And then, we have difficulty three right here. Which is it goes up from 48,000 hit points to 60 s- 60 or 65,000. Uh which is actually pretty crazy. Let’s zoom this in and let’s expand these guys. The pet was 15% of my damage this time. A little less because he was like I think this is the one we were like around with that ad for >> [laughter] >> quite a while. >> [gasps] >> Uh I think it this this ad kept healing, right? Uh this Puma was up to 30 uh 32% of his damage doing 3,000 damage that time. I think I Puma’d him more than once. He uh life tapped a little bit to heal himself there. Uh and you can see you know, he’s dotting. He snared everything, so it’s pretty funny. Puma was uh 2% of my damage, but uh the dot ticks again. Uh much higher plague uh wait, Odium had a crit of 1,000. Invulnerable created for 1,200, and I don’t have the burning affliction three item. So, you know, the my dot damage will just go up even more whenever I get that. Uh definitely nice there. Reaving Reaving strike doing 9% of my total uh direct damage. My slashes only 7%, right? Like I’m not doing a lot of slashes. My bashes are even lower, right? Uh I might not even even been in range of him to do that, right? Cuz it’s not really my focus. Uh but definitely overall really well there. Then he goes from 66,000 hit points to 71,000 hit points. So, even more hit points in this one, and I believe this one uh we had uh another pet or an ad that was annoying. Let’s take a look at here. Uh pet is 26% of my damage this time. Uh 13% of that was a Puma, right? So, it’s a definitely good spell. I wish it lasted longer. It’s kind of tedious to cast it every 1 minute, but you see here in this one I was I was very slack on the dots on this. I wasn’t really paying as close attention to that. I feel like I had to heal more. And you can see that because we did uh what? 11 drain souls in this one to kind of keep our health up and up and going, right? Which I guess is expected. Uh but Odium was our top dot because I this is the one I landed the most, I think. And everything else looks about basic, you know, slash is up a little bit more, but he had more hit points, so. And then the pet was doing dots, negating life, and doing all kinds of good stuff, so. I mean the pet survived difficulty four. Uh I tanked it most of the time, right? I don’t like I’ll sit here. Let’s go to DPS summary cuz this is this is like the one that really is interesting. Tanking summary right here. So I took 80 87% of the damage, the pet took 12% of the damage. So the pet did get hit a little bit in this fight. Uh I healed myself for 21,000, the pet healed himself for 1,400. Uh not too bad, you know. Definitely uh interesting there. And if we look at heals, right? Uh you know, so that I healed myself for 21,000, I only overhealed myself for 1,600, so. My max heal was 4,000. Uh what? A healing breakdown selected. I just I don’t even know how to tell me. I don’t even know how to get I don’t even know how to see that, but it’s very interesting, right? Like definitely uh definitely nice, right? Like this I didn’t expect to one shot these. I was expecting to have more more difficulty on this uh this encounter than we did, so that was uh that was pretty nice. Now uh I don’t know which raid I’m going to do next with this build to try maybe a fear for New Kazak. I think that might be a a better one. The dragons the dragons are annoying. Don’t get me wrong. Uh the dragons are annoying. I I know I can kill the dragons um but you know, having that AoE to spell out with the this 400 to 600 damage is just going to add a little complication everything and it’s it’s I don’t need anything from the dragons. This is pretty much the gist of it. But, I think Kel’Thuzad and Anub’arak are more interesting to me and for this build right? Like there’s there’s you can go in and kill the dragons on D0 which is rolling your face on the keyboard, right? There’s just nothing to it. But, for me Kel’Thuzad and Anub’arak are the the next targets. So, we’ll probably do Kel’Thuzad. So, we’ll do fear and go into that and stuff like that. But, there we go. We yell down and good to go. I like he doesn’t have the best loot, but I like him because he’s straightforward and it’s a very easy to like test your build out on him, right? And you know, the fact that he does mostly magic damage really makes him easier. So, it’s going to be a nice easy brain to get into day you know, day one or two of the expansion when you get to you know, 4650, right? Not the expansion the the game release. So, definitely a nice there. But, if you have any questions or comments, you want to see another build that involves a shadow knight or a warrior, let me know. I only have like a week and a half left before this beta server goes down. So, and then we’re going to be leveling a new character on the pre-order beta and going from there. But, thank you very much watching and please have a fantastic day. >> Mhm.
