My Revised Start Plan

The rewritten EverQuest Legends start plan after two test runs and a pile of feedback: Ogre Warrior with a pet class, the death-warp route to North Ro, and the gear, focus, and AA lists all the way to the first raid tokens.

July 27, 2026

The start plan rewritten. I put out the original, did the Ogre and Iksar test runs, and got a lot of feedback, so this folds all of that together along with my friend Cream's plan for the same Warrior / Druid / Bard build. The headline changes: start as an Ogre, bring a pet class for the early levels, and skip the Feerrott entirely by dying your way to North Ro. Every item, focus, and AA below is in the companion sheet, which you can sort and search.

Legends Server Ogre Warrior Pet Opener 1 to 50 + Raids
RaceOgre, for now
BuildWarrior / Druid / Bard
OpenerEnchanter or Mage to 10
Target3 raid tokens before August 4

What Changed

Why the plan changed.

  • Two test runs and a lot of comments. The Ogre and Iksar starts taught me things the original plan got wrong.
  • Ogre, not Iksar. The Ogre unlock reportedly wants something like 20 hours of foraging in Misty Thicket, while Iksar is trivial to unlock. So start as the expensive one and pick Iksar up cheaply later.
  • A pet class for the opener. The overwhelming advice was to start with a Mage. Cream says Enchanter. Either way, something else kills for you early.
  • Cream's plan folded in. He is running the same Warrior / Druid / Bard build and shared his routing, focus list, and AA order.
  • Pet stats came from Cyanide BunnySlayer.

The sheet is the living version. The video will not get updated, but the sheet will as I tweak the plan and as people point out items I missed.

Ogre Warrior, Plus a Pet

The build, and the one decision still open.

  • Ogre Warrior is the goal. Going Ogre means not spending 36 AA on Steadfast Will early, which is the argument for it.
  • Steadfast Will really is 100%, 360 degrees, if you are a tank: Warrior, Shadow Knight, or Paladin. Roughly 80% if you are not. I keep getting told otherwise in the comments.
  • Second class is Enchanter or Mage, and I have not committed. It comes down to Tiny Daggers against Malachite and how fast you get that first pet.
  • Mage pet: starts around 100 hit points. The level 2 pet cons level 5, the level 6 pet cons level 9, so it carries further early.
  • Enchanter pet: around 22 hit points, but it buffs and stuns, and Mez lands at level 2. Walk into Befallen and you can mez basically everything.
  • The Enchanter catch: no heal. The pet may cover some of that, but I doubt it tanks.

The Tutorial

Same speedrun, one target.

  • Ignore the quests. Go to the top, kill the skeletons, then buy the supplies.
  • Turn the supplies in to the old man, then kill the skeletons again once they respawn and turn those in too.
  • Get the boots to +2 or +3 so you can pull the Exaltation out later and move it into better boots.
  • You should leave at about level 2, or very close to it.

Respawn is 4 minutes, so you can cycle the skeletons as many times as you have patience for before leaving.

Levels 2 to 5: Die Your Way to North Ro

The Feerrott is a waste of time. Skip it entirely.

The Death Warp

Step What happens
Die in South RoPuts you on the far side of the zone
Die in OasisFar side again
Die in North RoDrops you over by the tunnel
Run to the Iksar campSoulbind there, then kill in that area

Then Level to 4 or 5

  • Kill around the camp to 4. Commonlands takes you 4 to 5.
  • You have zero instance charges at this point, so there is nothing to do with instances yet.
  • If North Ro is too rough, East Freeport works, but past level 2 the experience is not great unless you want to sit and grind.

Somebody on Reddit started Berserker / Ranger, bought a rusty throwing spear, and killed things at D4. Interesting, not what I want to do, but worth a look: Ancient Berserker Technology: Throwing Spear.

Shopping in the Iksar City

And the Rogue trick to get in.

  • Around level 3, head into the Iksar city and buy what you need.
  • Tiny Daggers or Malachite, depending on which pet class you took. Ten will get you a fair way, but it is all down to how much money the RNG gave you.
  • You will be dubious, so you may need a Rogue loadout to sneak in and talk to them. Rogues get sneak at level 1 and hide at level 3.

Levels 5 to 10: Befallen

Roughly an hour in, which is when your first instance charge lands.

How It Goes

  • Take the D0 instance the moment you have a charge. Both test runs put Befallen at about the 1 hour 30 to 1 hour 50 mark, so the timing works out.
  • Kill Asaka L`Rei as soon as you can. She cons around 16, so expect a few cycles on Skeleton L`rodd and the main room first.
  • Once she is down, Befallen is on farm.
  • Level to 10 here, then get out.

What to Take

Item Why
Full Pristine setTwo bracers, boots, gloves, legs, sleeves, tunic. No helmet in the zone
Enchanted Fine Steel Bastard SwordBest two-hander here at .48 base, and it carries a long way
Enchanted Fine Steel Morning Star ×2Do not merge them. One in each any slot for the wisdom, which feeds the Druid later
Ebon Scythe.38 base off Asaka, your two-hander until the bastard sword
Golem Metal WandRight-click dispel, first of the clickies
Shimmering Ruby StilettoOne-hander, held for the Bard pet later
The Baron's BladeThe other one-hander for the pet

At level 10, swap loadouts. Back to the Iksar city, move to Warrior / Druid / Bard, and build a second loadout of Warrior / Druid / Rogue purely for buying spells. Bard gets sneak at 17, and after that the Rogue loadout is dead weight.

On the Blackened Alloyed Bastard Sword from Runnyeye: it is a .54 at 21/39 against .48 at 17/42 on the Enchanted Fine Steel Bastard Sword. They are close enough that it does not matter. Spend the time there only if you want to.

Levels 22 to 43: Sol A, Najena, Lower Guk

Cream's routing, which is faster than what I ran.

22 to 27: Sol A

  • Kill gnomes for the Molten Cloak (4 WIS at base), which is your cloak for a long while. Goblins drop the rest.
  • The ore for the Iksar unlock drops here, and you can convert fine steel items into it, so this doubles as faction work.
  • Platinum Dragon Totem is Bard usable with real stats, so it is a better any slot filler than the morning star once you have one.

27 to 28: Najena

37 to 43: Lower Guk

Not worth the detour: the Crushbone boots everyone points at read 20 AC, 32 at plus. That is a typo and it is getting nerfed into the ground. There is little else in Crushbone I want.

Levels 43 to 46: The Imps

The first AOE procs.

  • This is an AOE build, so I plan to pull whole camps and burn them down rather than pick them off.
  • Fleshripper carries Word of Shadow, a small AOE proc, and goes on the primary.
  • Painbringer is a one-hander with Word of Pain, a 29 point AOE. Dual wielding both gives you two AOE procs well before Earthquake.
  • Staff of Writhing procs a stun. It needs a Bard weapon slot, so there is a catch, but take it if it drops.

Levels 46 to 50: Hate, Then Fear

The full Warrior planar set.

  • Plane of Hate at 46 for the bracer, vambraces, greaves, and helm. Skip the helm if Guk already gave you one.
  • Stay in Hate until the armor is done and you are at 50.
  • Fear, for the breastplate, boots, and gauntlets. D0 Fear should be fine at 46 plus.
  • Merge every duplicate. The breastplate at +10 is 30 STA, 30 DEX, 70 AC, which is best in slot until roughly January.
  • The gauntlets are the exception: the Cazic Thule gloves carry more stats, so it comes down to which build you are running.

Level 50: Three Tokens Before August 4

The date everything above is timed to.

  • Master Yael at 50 for the first raid token. Some people do him at 40; I would rather hit 50 and stop leveling.
  • Then Lord Nagafen and Lady Vox, all three before the tokens expire on the 4th.
  • Spend all three on the Warrior breastplate, most likely. It is the one item I do not expect to replace.
  • Unlock Shaman at 50 so the Shadow Knight / Shaman / Necromancer build opens up. Rogue after that. Every class and combo eventually.

Focus Items

The list Cream started, checked against the wiki.

Focus Item Where
Mana PreservationMane AttractionQuest chain, gnome in Ak'Anon and West Freeport
Affliction Haste 2Chrysoberyl TalismanThe Elder, Lower Guk
Improved Damage 2Polished Mithril MaskNagafen raid
All Reagent Conservation 1Batskull EarringChief Gunda
Affliction Efficiency 2Chipped Bone BraceletChief Gunda
Extended Range 2Moonstone Ringa frenzied ghoul, Lower Guk
Extended Enhancement 2Clawed Knuckle-RingNajena
Burning Affliction 2Serpentine Bracera reanimated hand, Lower Guk, until the girdle
Burning Affliction 3Bone-Clasped GirdlePlane of Fear, took me 10 kills
Spell Haste 3Mithril-Runed TunicCrusader, Guk live side
Enhancement Haste 2Golden Efreeti BootsSolb
Improved Healing 3Idol of the UnderkingThe Hole, expect farming

Why some of these stack up: at lower level you will not have the better version, so several slots carry a weaker focus until the upgrade lands. Keep everything in Exaltation storage so you can swap per build.

Spells and Skills

What is auto-granted and what is not.

  • Mage: almost everything you need while leveling is auto-granted.
  • Enchanter: all the animations through level 10 are auto-granted. Pick up an illusion so you can shrink for Befallen.
  • Bard: nearly every song is auto-granted, which saves a lot of money from 1 to 20.
  • Druid: by level 20 you have ports to just about everywhere, which is why it is in the build. Everyone tells me Druid is bad. Druid is going to be fine.
  • Dual wield is level 1, not 13. The wiki is wrong, and that is why I was swinging bare-handed through parts of the Ogre video.
  • Other skills: Warrior kick and bash at 1, cleave at 5, triple attack at 46. Druid forage at 5, tracking at 20. Bard tracking at 15, kick at 17.

AA Order

56 points, which lands somewhere around 40 to 45.

  • No Steadfast Will, because you are an Ogre. That is the 36 AA the race buys you.
  • Combat Fury first, same as both test runs.
  • Before the Bard: Mnemonic Retention, one rank at a time. Bank anything past five.
  • The moment you have the Bard: Symphonic Aura, as many ranks as you can afford.
  • Symphonic Aura songs: Chords of Dissonance, Jaxan's Jig o' Vigor, Hymn of Restoration, Denon's Disruptive Discord, and the AOE slow.
  • Max the spell slots early. Gaining one at a time means re-saving every loadout, which gets old.

Experience caps: about 8.999% per kill before level 10, and people are saying 12% after. Kill blues for maximum AA, and things four or five levels above you for maximum experience.

The Alchemy Damage Shield

Cream's tip, and it stacks.

  • The alchemy damage shield potion stacks with both the Druid and the Bard damage shields.
  • Budget about 400 platinum, get accuracy to roughly 83, then spam greater conch until you can make them.
  • Kilva's Skin of Flame is the one you want, and on an AOE build that extra damage shield adds up.

Buy the 50 slot bags before you attempt any of this. Tradeskilling out of 10 slot bags means stopping every five minutes to vendor, which was miserable in the private beta.

Best in Slot

Still a work in progress.

Weapons

  • Fangol is the two-hander if you stay two-handed.
  • Dagas is the target: 40 AC, 13 STR, 12 AGI, 200 HP, 1.5 ratio on a one-hander.
  • Serpent's Tooth in the off hand, with Earthquake riding on the Dagas.
  • Dual wield for raiding, not the two-hander. It feels better against bosses.
  • Blood Fire is the alternative at .46, and you can move the DoT proc off it if you would rather.

The Haste Problem

Numbers at Tier Zero

  • Leveling set: 84 AC, 84 hit points, 25 STR. Not much, but enough for the first tier of gods.
  • Best in slot: 231 AC, 280 hit points, 325 mana, 101 STR, 68 STA, 61 DEX, all before any upgrades.
  • Fangol's Breath is a 120 point nuke; Earthquake is a 214 point AOE. Swap by situation.

The Revised Plan at a Glance

  1. Roll Ogre Warrior with an Enchanter or a Mage second, for the pet.
  2. Tutorial: ignore the quests, skeletons and supplies only, boots to +2 or +3, leave at about level 2.
  3. Skip the Feerrott. Die in South Ro, Oasis, then North Ro to warp across each zone, then bind at the Iksar camp.
  4. Level to 4 around the camp, then Commonlands to 5. Buy Tiny Daggers or Malachite in the Iksar city, sneaking in on a Rogue loadout if you must.
  5. Befallen at 5, D0 instance as soon as the charge lands. Kill Asaka early, farm to 10, keep two morning stars unmerged.
  6. At 10, swap to Warrior / Druid / Bard, with a Rogue loadout for spell buying until Bard sneak at 17.
  7. 22 to 27 Sol A for the Molten Cloak and the Iksar unlock ore, 27 to 28 Najena for haste and focuses, 37 to 43 Lower Guk.
  8. 43 to 46 the imps for Fleshripper and Painbringer, the AOE procs.
  9. 46 to 50 Hate then Fear for the full Warrior set. Merge duplicates into the breastplate.
  10. Yael, Nagafen, and Vox before August 4, and put all three tokens in the breastplate.

Hello and welcome to uh an EverQuest Legends Resised V uh leveling guide. So uh I released the video and then I did the two test runs and I got a lot of feedback from people. So, this is a combination of all that feedback along with my uh friend Cream who sent me his his plan cuz he’s doing the same build uh warrior druid bard and I’ve taken some of his information that he allows me to share and uh we have uh we have some sheets. Now, I’m not using Google Sheets. I don’t I don’t I uh I’ve moved to my own thing. This is all on my website. Uh it’s not live yet, but you’ll be able to find it on uh right here, revised start plan when that goes live uh on the 28th. So, let’s go back in here and take a look at this. Now, uh the link will be in the description when it goes live, but uh it is not ready yet. So, uh, after reading all the comments I got on all those videos, uh, the com the the gist was I should start with a mage. Uh, that is something that is highly recommended. And my friend says start with an enchanter. So, you can start. Um, I’m going to do ogre uh because it’s such a pain in the ass to unlock. Uh, I think it’s someone said you have to forage for 20 hours in Misty Thicket. So, unless that changes, I’m going ogre. Uh, and we’ll talk about the AAS. Well, how that maps out and saves 36 AAS early on. But, uh, for the most part, ogre warrior is what I want to be, right? That’s that’s that’s the goal. Uh, we’re going to do an enchanter or a mage. I still haven’t decided which yet. Uh, we’ll go over the spells when we get to the spell section and talk about that. Uh, the the big difference is tiny daggers versus Malikite and how fast you can get the first one, right? So, you can summon the pet. All right. Uh, so we’re going to start in the tutorial. We’re going to ignore the quest. Go up to the top, kill the skeletons, drop down by the supplies, turn those into the old man. Uh, go back and kill the skeletons again. They should theoretically respawn. turn in all of that. Uh try to get our boots to two or three so we can take the little uh exultation out and put that into uh other boots later on. All right, so that gets us there. Now, we learned in the ogre video staying in Ferat uh is is probably a waste of time. Now, I I saw a video on Reddit of a guy. He uh he started as a warrior berserker bought a rusty throwing spear or something like that and was killing stuff in D4. Uh but you know that’s that’s interesting but not what I want to do. So uh you know go on Reddit and find that if you that video if you want. Um what’s what we’re going to do is we’re going to run to north row and bind at the XR camp. So step one was we’re going to die in uh south row. That’ll put us on the other side of the zone. Die in Oasis. That’ll put us on the other side of the zone. And then die in north row. And that’ll put us on the other side of the zone over by the tunnel. We can run from the tunnel over to the uh Xar camp soulbind. And then kill in that area. We should be two. We should leave the tutorial about two or very close to two. So, we’re going to kill there. Get to four. Uh once we’re there, we’re going to go into the XR city. uh and buy anything we need to buy. We might be doing this midway, right? Right. So, you get like level three, go inside the XR city uh and purchase whatever we can. We’re going to need some tiny daggers or malikite depending on what build you go with. Uh I think 10 will probably get you pretty far. Just depends on how much money you get. H it it’s it’s totally RNG based, right? So, but you might have to switch into a different load out as a rogue so you can sneak to talk to the uh the exar, right? You’re going to be dubious. Uh rogues, where is it at here? Rogues get sneak and hide at or sneak at level one, hide at level three. So, you’ll be able to do that right away there um with that. Now, uh where was I? Right right about here. So, you got your your stuff, you summon your pet. now. Uh, talking to Oh god, what’s his name? Let me let me pull up my Discord real quick. There we go. Um, I just want to make sure I cite the right person. Uh, yeah, Cyanide Bunny Slayer. Now, he has provided some stat information for the pets. And the mage pet starts uh I can’t show it because it’s on the private Discord, but the mage pet starts with 100 hit points whereas the uh um the enchanter pet starts with 22. So you you kind of you get this interesting thing where that the level f the level two mage pet, the water pet is level five and the level uh six pet is level nine. So, you’re going to get a little bit of maybe a little bit of extra mileage out of the mage in this run uh to be able to kill stuff for you faster. Uh but, uh you know, regardless of what you pick, you know, the the enchanter pet does have the ability to buff and stun, so it’s pretty durable. And uh we’ll we’ll show the spells here in a second and then and which are auto granted and stuff like that. Uh but once you have all that done, you’re going to get into the common lands for four to five. Now, you’re going to have zero charges on your u instances. So, you’re going to have no way to do anything with your instances right now. Uh so, just keep, you know, going. Now, if you find north row is too hard, you can go into East Freeport, but after level two, the experience isn’t that great. Unless you just want to sit there and grind for a while. Um it’s up to you. Uh, I’m going to be I’m not going to stop for anything. Okay, I’ve I’ve mapped it all out. Uh, you know, I’ve talked with multiple people and this is this is where it’s going. So, you’re going to do that. Uh, once you get to five, you can go into Befallen. Now, uh, if you don’t have an instance yet, I don’t know how long it’s going to take. It took me an hour and 30 minutes to kill the uh, I think it was an hour and 30 minutes. It took me an hour and 30 minutes or an hour and 50 minutes for the ogre to get from Agok to uh befallen and it took an hour and 30 minutes for the Xar to kill the skeleton rod. So um you know it it’s a you know you’re about an hour. So the goal is, you know, it it takes you about an hour to do this. Uh so that you as soon as you get into the befallen, you have that charge, you get your D0 befallen instance right away. Now you you go into that with the enchanter or the mage, whatever. Kill everything you can. Uh your goal is to kill Asuka as soon as possible. Uh, but you might have to do a few cycles on the main room with the Lrod and uh, that until you’re, you know, able to kill that level 16 mob there. Once you’re able to do that, you know, befallen’s pretty much on farm at that point. Uh, now what you’re going to want to do is keep two enchanted fine steel morning stars. Don’t merge them. Pull one in, you know, each one in your mini slot. If you don’t have a better weapon at this point, use them use them as misery weapons. Uh we’ll talk about why here later on, but that’s kind of the where you want to be with that. They have wisdom on them, so they’re going to benefit the the druid we’re going to switch to here fairly soon. Uh but you’re going to level up to 10 there. Uh once you’re level 10, you need to get the hell out. Um you’re going to go back to the XR city. You’re going to change your load out to uh to uh warrior, druid, bard. You’re going to create a second loadout, warrior, druid, rogue. The rogue one is going to allow you to buy your spells. The the the bard one is going to be your fighting thing until you get to level 17 with the bard, which then they get sneak, right? Level 17. Then you don’t need the rogue. So save yourself a little time there, uh you know, as you’re doing that. But that’s there. So, while we’re in Befallen, these are all the items I’ve deemed worth, uh, trying to get the full pristine set, uh, which is, you know, two bracers, boots, gloves, legs, sleeves, and a tunic. Uh, I don’t think there’s a helmet, but, uh, not really a big deal. Now, there’s a enchanted fine steel broads, uh, bastard sword, which is the best two-hander in the zone. You’re going to want to pick that up. Um, let’s click on this one. Uh, so I have all these at at zero, right? So, whatever you upgrade it to. So, this is a48 weapon. Uh, which is not going to be replaced for a while. Um, now the fine steel morning star, as I talked about, is a five wisdom to strength. You’re going to put that in your any slot because it’s going to benefit what we need later on. Uh, now the eban scythe is a 38 at the base level. Uh you’re probably going to upgrade this a few times, but it’s a nice uh it’s a nice two-hander to have. And this drops from Ascot, right? You’re going to get that one first. So, you’re going to be using this for a while until you get to uh the better item. And then you’re going to want to pick up the Gollum metal wand. This is a right click uh dispel. Uh that’s one of the clickies we’re going to pick up along the way. And then you’re going to probably want to pick up the uh shimmering ruby stiletto and the Baron’s Blade. Those are two onehanders. We’re going to use those for the pet later on. Uh the bard pet. All right. So, that gets us, you know, probably to 22ish, uh give or take. Uh you, you know, do what you do there. Now, Cream suggests going to Sole. I had didn’t do sole in any of my runs. Uh but this is a pretty good one. Uh here and the ore that we need to unlock XR drops from here too. So uh you can save yourself a little bit of time there. Uh you can also convert the fine steel items you get into uh the uh the ore you need for uh getting extra faction there. So keep that in mind. But you can go 22 to 27 in soul A. Uh, now Cream suggested going to Naggina at 27 to 28 and Nina is pretty nice. Now over here, actually, let’s go back to Soul 8 real quick. Uh, there’s a few items here worth getting. These all have focus items um, for the most part. Now, the P platinum dragon totem, if you can get a hold of one of these, this is actually pretty nice uh, for the any slot because it’s it’s it is bard usable. It’s got some stats on it, right? Uh but we can put our our bard um our bard instrument focuses in this in our any slot so we can get a better stats than say the uh the uh the wisdom uh f morning star, right? So that’s an option there. Uh you’re going to want to pick up a molten co cloak. That’s going to be the cloak we’re going to be wearing for a while. uh four wisdom at the base level goes up a little bit better, right? Uh the other stuff is just focus items uh or you know things we can put into other slots. So keep that in mind. Nina is uh pretty good. There’s a 10% haste belt right there. And we talked about these in the other video. Uh I just didn’t have like all the uh everything there. Come on. Go away full screen. Go away full screen. All right. Well, we can also pick up the emissary mask, which is uh a nice little mask. It has improved healing one, which will improve our healing on uh up to level 20, so that’s pretty good there. Uh obviously at 28, we’re going to be above that, but um when we replay characters, it’ll be a nice thing to have in our thing. And then the Nina drops this uh clawed knuckle ring which is an extended enhancement too which I believe is the best we’re going to get um in that slot. Let me look real quick what I have here. Uh now provided me this uh this list of uh focuses. So shout you know many thanks to him for providing all of this this extra information. All right. See extended enhancement. Right. Yeah. So, that’s the best one you can get from Aena. So, keep that in mind. Now, uh you know, the few other items there, the J boots, the the haste uh proc spear, and then the uh the boots. Now, these boots have already been nerfed. They were uh like 10 I think stamina or something like that. I feel like I feel like they’ve been nerfing some of this stuff. Uh so, they’re, you know, they’re not as good as they were when I made the other video, but they’re they’re not bad, right? Um, in that and like a lot of people mention these Crushbone boots here. Like let’s look at them right now. 20 AC. There’s no way this goes live in all honesty, right? Like let’s put it at plus. 32 AC. These are going to get nerfed into the ground. Uh, obviously it’s a typo on that item. So, I do not see that going live. So, like saying go getting them. I I just don’t feel like it’s worth worth my time. There’s not a whole lot of items in Crush Bone that I I have I I have value for, so it’s just what it is. All right. So, once we’re done with uh Nina getting picking up these items here, we’re going to swap back into uh Soul A and kill Gnomes. Now, the gnomes is where we pick up the molten cloak and uh maybe some of these other items. The goblins are drop the other ones. So, uh seems like it’s pretty fast experience from what Cream says. So, we’re going to give it a shot. I have I didn’t do that. I did I did Kazakth Thu and I did Guck lower guck from 25. So, which is a little bit more of an effort in all honesty at 25 than I probably would have spent. Uh and then here we move at 37 to lower guck and uh targeting you know a a good list of items here. Now, these a lot of these are for targeting focus items like the uh myithal rune tunic is spell haste on the chest or you can you can also get spell haste on the ring from soul B wherever that one’s at from the this one. Uh but I don’t think it’s going to fit into the build. But you want to have all these focus items uh the exultations anyway in your exultation storage so you can switch them in and out for different builds. Anyway, uh we’re going to pick up the wisdom shoulders, the wisdom neck. The wisdom neck actually has uh affliction haste 2 on it, which is going to be a good one to have. Uh we’re going to want to guys because we’re still an ogre at this point. Um I, you know, I don’t I’m not sure when I’m going to spend the effort on making metal bits, but uh we’re still going to be an ogre, so we’ll need the guys so we can shrink. Now, the cool thing about druid is they get permanent wolf form about level 20. So, you’re going to be a permanent wolf anyway. So, you don’t have to worry about the shrink as much uh from 20 on, but it is a thing there. And then these are just the other items that drop in the zone that we can pick up as we need. Uh but we if you know, if we have the fine steel master sword, we’re pretty much set all the way to like the end, right? Uh it just depends on what we can get. Now, if we can get a mythil two-hander, uh that would be a definite upgrade, but uh the frog lock king is a bit of a a pain in the ass. So, it might take a while to actually get that and it might not be on the first run. Uh once we hit 43, we’re done with guck. Uh we’re going to go to, you know, Ephrei and do the imps. Now, since this is an AoE build, uh I plan on actually uh pulling pretty much everything in AoE form where I go and grab all the cobalts at once and burn them down with an AoE. Um so, we can get a flesh ripper, which is a word of shadow and a little AoE proc there. We can put that on our primary and then uh you know giving us the uh AoE pretty early. Now this is a onehander uh that does word of pain which is a 29 point AoE on a onehander. So we can dual wield two pain you know two two procs and painbrer giving us uh the ability to do uh more AoE damage uh if we choose to use them in a dual wield. But we would like at the end game, we’d be using earthquake uh anyway. So it would be nice for the offh hand in all honesty. And then the uh the bard staff here, which is another proc thing that might be useful for certain things. I believe it stuns. Uh yeah, it stuns. So it’s like a stun proc. Um now it requires a bard weapon, so you know, there’s a little bit of issue there, but still worth getting picking that up if it it happens to drop, right? I’m not. In the previous video, I said I was going to, you know, stick around to plus five. Uh, you know, I’m going to stick around to the levels at this point. I feel like, uh, in my test runs, I didn’t really need, you know, the any any higher level weapons than I was using at the time. So, once we hit 46, we’re off to Plane of Hate. Now, plane of hate is going to have the the warrior bracer, uh, van braces, greavves, helmet, and the bracer. Now, uh, depending on if we got the helmet in guck or not, uh, we don’t need the helmet here, right? Just depends. It’s all like, you know, pick pick and match. Get what you can. Now, we’re going to spend all of our time in hate until we have uh all our armor uh, and get to 50, right? Uh, if we don’t hit 50, we’re going to go to fear, pick up the breastplate, the boots, and the gauntlets. Uh, I’m pretty sure we can do uh D0 fear at this point. Uh, at 46 plus. Now, that gets us, you know, it gets us our full set of warrior armor. That really puts us in the right spot. Now, uh, any duplicates we get, we’re going to merge um until we get that to plus 10. Uh, getting the breastplate to plus 10 is going to be great because I mean, look at this, right? 30 stamina, 30 decks, 70 AC. This is like best in slot for a while, like until until January, I would say. Uh, so we’re going to, you know, getting that. The GLaTlets, the gauntlets, on the other hand, like they’re pretty good. Uh, but there’s the the Kazakth gauntlets that have more stats. So, it just depends on, you know, diversity of build for those gloves versus the warrior gloves, right? Uh, but, you know, getting all that maxed out is going to be key. Uh, I’m going to unlock shaman at 50 so I can do my uh shaman shadow knight necro build and uh I think I want to try a rogue. So, we’re going to try some other builds. I like Shaman uh personally, but we’re going to, you know, we’re going to be doing every single class and every single combo eventually. So, it just depends there. Uh, but what we’re going to do is we’re going to do Yale at 50. Uh, like some people do it at 40 and stuff like that. I feel like I just rather get 50 and stop leveling so I can focus on uh, you know, doing, you know, the endgame stuff, right? like I just it’s it’s not going to be much of a difference because the way we’re leveling anyway. Uh so Yale uh at 50 is going to get us our first raid token. So my goal is to kill these three raid bosses before the first week is done, right? So we want to get in. We want to kill Yale, Nagafin, and Vox before Tuesday. So, uh, I mean, do we have a do I have a calendar here? Uh, so yeah. All right. The game launches here. We want to kill it before the 4th, right? Because that’s when those those tokens will expire and we want to have that first tokens. So, depending on where where what what gear we have and stuff like that, I’m probably going to put it on the breastplate uh to max that out as high as possible. I feel like that’s that’s the only going to be the only item uh we’re going to have that isn’t going to be replaced ever, right? Like at at this point in the game, I feel like that’s where we’re at. Depending on the other items, right? Like if we kill in uh you know, like I’m going to see if we can kill inch, then there’s items from there that that aren’t going to be replaced until the end of the game. And we’ll talk about that. I have a best in slot sheet and a leveling gear we’re going to talk about, too. This is a this is a long video. Hopefully it’s still recording. Uh and if the audio sounds terrible, I apologize. I’ve moved to Linux and I’m still working out the kinks. So, um so there you go. That that gets us through everything. Uh now all these slides are available so you can uh go and look at them at your leisure for all the different items. But uh people talk about the blackened alloyed bastard sword from Runny Eye. Now it’s a 0.54. So, it’s a 2139 versus this one. So, it’s a 1742. Uh, I mean, they’re so close that it really doesn’t matter. If you want to spend your time in Runny Eye, go and do it. Uh, you know, the blackened alloy medallion’s okay, but we’ll see on the focuses. We can pick that up in a different spot. All right, spells. Now, uh, I have these spells all broken out into what is autog granted and what we want to buy. Um, now gave me the the his primer on what it is, and I added some more spells in there that I felt like I needed uh to enjoy myself. But, as you can see, the the the druid uh these are druid spells, these are bard songs, these are enchanter, and this is mage. Now, if we look over here at the mage, almost everything we need is autog granted uh for leveling the mage. Now, the enchanter for the most part, like you’re going to get the all the animations up to level 10, all auto granted. So, that’s pretty good. Now, uh I did put on here that I would pick up an illusion. So, this would give us the ability to shrink ourselves a little bit so we can get through uh befallen a little easier. So depending on which one of these I actually go with, it’s pretty pretty self-explanatory how easy it is uh with that. Now for the bard, almost every single song is autograded except for uh these ones right here that I called out. So uh you save a lot of money uh 1 to 20 on the bard there. Now on the the druid, you can see here by level 20, we have like ports to just about everywhere, which is kind of what I wanted. Uh, the big issue I had in the private in the in the pre-order beta is I didn’t have any ability to teleport. Now, in the private beta, I leveled up, you know, almost every class to 50 and I could teleport and I could get around. So, when the new dungeons came out, I couldn’t get to them very easy or it cost me like 300 platinum just to get from point A to point B. And I don’t like spending money on the translocator taxation cuz that is pure theft. and I just was not happy about that. So, uh it was definitely uh not fun. But you can see here like all the different spells and uh how it goes. I think uh the druid is going to be fine. Everybody tells me druid sucks, but uh druid is going to be fine. The druid is going to be fine. Um when we get to uh get through it all. Uh though I am unlocking shaman so I can do more builds more diverse diverse builds and stuff. Now, uh, skills, uh, I put this in here for my own personal reference, but you can see druid gets forage at five, tracking at 20, bard gets, uh, tracking at 15, kick at 17, whereas the warrior gets kick at one, uh, triple attack at 46, bash at one, cleave at five, and so, you know, it’s pretty nice. Now, uh it’s says 13 here, but that’s cuz that’s what the wiki says because it’s inaccurate. Uh apparently dual wield is level one on uh legends. So, I don’t like you can see this one had it right. This I just literally copied and pasted these out of the uh the wiki uh EverQuest Legends eqlwiki.com and so I could have these for reference without having to go to the page. But you can see like it’s inaccurate there. There’s a lot of inaccuracies on the wiki. Uh, but hopefully they get all those fixed. But dual wield at level one. I didn’t know that I wasn’t dual wield wielding and I think the ogre video and so we were we were smashing with our hand and I couldn’t you know I didn’t realize what was going on when I was recording. So uh now that we know that we will uh you know dual wield until we get a two-hander uh is really pretty much what it boils down to. Now, aa this is where I’ve kind of planned it out and I’m not it it kind of goes into it. So, by going ogre, we don’t have to invest in steadfast will. Now, I don’t know why I keep getting comments from people telling me steadfast will does not do 100%. Steadfast will does 100% stun in the 360 around you if you are a tank warrior, um, shadow knight or paladin. If you’re not, you I think it’s like 80%. I don’t know why people keep posting these comments. Like if you don’t own anything about the game, don’t don’t comment because it just gets frustrating to see. Uh but since we are playing as an ogre, we do not need to invest any points into that right away. You can see here I have 56 points there. Uh so the first, you know, when we did the test runs, we did combat fury was the first one we spent. Uh now when we get bard, we’re going to want symphonic aura. That’s going to be where we put all our points. But until we have the bard, so if we’re playing as the enchanter or the mage, we’re going to pick up uh pick up pneummonic retention uh one. And then if we get another AA, two, and if we get two more AAs before we get the level 10, uh we’re going to grab that one. If we get more AAS than uh five, uh we’re going to save them. And then when we we roll into a bard, we’re going to pick up symphonic aura. Uh whatever ranks we can there and fill these out, right? And then once we have all of that done, we’re going to put chords of dissonance, Jackson’s uh jig of vigor, uh himma restoration, Denon’s disruptive discord, and uh the AoE slow. Those are being what we’re running AoE wise, uh you know, early on. I think before level 20 and uh whatnot. And then uh I’m going to probably get the last rank of uh the spell slots just because one thing I found annoying is is as I’m leveling I keep adding a spell slot and then I have to resave all my stuff. Uh maxing out as soon as possible is where you know go and then it’s pretty much focusing on barred stuff here. Uh I believe this is the this is pretty much verbatim the AA list that sent me. So, um it’s about the it’s it’s about what I had in the uh other video, too. I think Steadfast will I think I had as number one, though. But since we’re going to start as an ogre because it’s such a terrible thing to unlock, um I think this works out fine. That gets us at 56 AA, which should be around a level 40 to five, I think, uh AA wise. uh depending on what we kill. Uh like it I found that there’s an experience cap at uh 8.999% at before level 10 and some people are saying it’s 12% at uh 10 plus I you know I didn’t retest it but there’s definitely experience cap and the higher you go like red mobcon the less experience you’re going to get which means less AAS you’re going to get. Uh, so there’s some, you know, some choices there. If you kill blues, you’re going to get the maximum AA. And if you kill mobs four levels higher than you, maybe five levels higher than you, you’re going to get maximum experience. Just depends. Uh now something Cream told me that I did not know was that the shaman alchemy or the just alchemy now uh damage shield potion stacks with the druid and bar damage shield. So, uh, he said once you get 400 platinum, make your way here, uh, to the alchemy, level it up, uh, accuracy to about 83 and then, uh, spam greater conchs until you can, uh, make those and then make as many of those you can. He said about 400 platinum to uh, do that. And then you can make a bunch of these skin of the flames, which will give you an extra little bit of damage shield. Now, focus items. Uh, these are is about as best you can get. I spent like I got I got the list from uh of a focus items from Cream and then I went ahead and started looking them all up, double check everything to ensure uh you know, this is all the stuff that I could find. Now, I have gypsy loot here because the the wiki was bugged and I could not I couldn’t get uh the uh the loot from uh I think it was Maestro, but uh the Maestro loot. I think they’re all the same. I I don’t know. I think there’s some some missing uh reconnaissance on some of these things, but uh as you can see, the main of attraction uh is where we’re going to get mana preservation instead of the necklace from the alloy. This will give us uh put it in the helm slot. Now, this comes from the rainaller quest, so you’re going to have to do a little bit of uh talking to a Gnome in Aenon, I believe, and West Freeport. So, having the druid kind of makes it easier there to get around. Uh now, when we were in Guck, we picked up this uh necklace from the Elder. This will give us affliction haste, too. Now, when we do the raid for um Nagafin, we should pick up a polish myithil mask on uh one of the raids, which will give us improved damage, too. Uh because it’s going to be a little while before we get improved damage three. So, that’ll help us on some lower level stuff and some procs, I believe. Now, uh, while we’re farming Chief Gunda for the, uh, chipbone bracelet for affliction efficiency, we’re going to pick up the bat skill earring and put that in our earring. That’s an all all reagent cons conservation one, which will be handy later on when we uh, you know, level up a pet glass or something like that. Uh, see here, extended range from the moonstone ring from the frenzied ghoul. Now, if you’re like me and you got only find uh the flowing black SL sashes every time you kill them, uh you’ll uh you’ll be mad when you uh don’t get it. But uh hopefully we get this get extended range too. Uh then when we were in Gina, we picked up the uh extended enhancement two ring. Uh when we kill Vox, we might get the cloak uh or the hide to make the cloak. Requires 200 plus jewel crafting. I’m sure there’s going to be somebody that’ll sell the items possibly. I don’t even know if they’re tradable uh at this point, but you know, 200 jewel crafting is about 20 to 30,000 platinum depending on how much uh effort you want to put into it. And I highly recommend buying the 50 slot bags from uh the shop to make that easier because doing it with 10 slot bags was just felt like cancer in the pre-order or the private beta because you have to literally stop every uh 5 minutes to sell items to the vendor. Um it’s just it was tediously annoying. Uh whereas if you have the 50 slot bags, you you have more room to uh to work uh and stuff like that. Uh now let’s see we talked about this the chip bone bracelet that’s going to give us a affliction efficiency too. Now um in guck on the re reanimated hand we’re going to pick up burning affliction two which will give us more dot damage uh until we get at the bone class girdle from fear which will take a probably a little while. I didn’t get that. I didn’t get that for like 10 kills doing uh fear. So, it took me a while to get that, but Burning Affliction 3 is uh going to be better. Now, the reason I st this I’m stacking some of these is because when you’re lower level, you know, you you you might not have uh those higher level items. So, you’re kind of stacking some of these and there’s probably no replacement in some of these slots, right? We might be able to switch some of these things out here and there uh for the end, but is just get us where we need for this build. Now, when we were in Guck, we farmed the Crusader Live side to get spell haste on our chest because our rings are full. So, this will give us spell haste 2, which is just spell haste up to level, I think, 44. Uh so, you know, that’s pretty nice there. I don’t believe uh there’s spell haze three for uh nonpure casters anyway at this point. Uh now the free boots drop uh enhanced haste 2 and then uh nagafin drops the uh drum. Right. So the the uh 14 drum there. So we’re going to pick up those. Now, in my any slots, I do have the weapons because I want to be able to put my horn and my loot in my any slots. Now, in game raiding, um I’m probably going to be using dual wield. I don’t think I’ll do uh I don’t think I’ll be doing uh two-hander against bosses. I think dual wield is going to feel better, and I’ll show why when we get to that page. Uh but it is what it is. And then the range slot, we’re going to get the uh improved healing three thing from uh Hull. So, it’s going to be a little bit of farming there. Uh and I ideally what I’m going to be doing is, you know, if I don’t get it on the first run after I kill the bosses, I’m going to make a new load out and cycle through and cycle through and cycle through uh constantly getting more AAS. Right. All right. Gear. So, this is the gear that I I picked for leveling. Um, so it’s pretty much all the gear from uh the Nina belt, the Guck shoulders, the sole cloak, the uh rings from Nina and Guck, and then uh sorry, my timer went off. I’ve been going for so long. Uh then the Diamondite earrings from Mistmore. These are going to be the best earrings I’ve found at this point. Now, you can ignore the uh the focus stuff. That’s uh not as important right now. The emissary mask, that’s the one we got picked up in Niga. And then the uh the other stuff. So, these are just kind of we build on these. Now, I said, you know, early on in the slides that we should uh do in the the morning stars in our any slot, and that’s so we can pick up the uh the loot of the gypsy princess and uh whatever horn we can get into our any slot so we have those focus items. And it’s going to give us, you know, an extra 10 wisdom while we’re leveling, which as a druid, it’s going to help us out pretty nice. So you can see here uh I I took the stats at tier zero for all of this. I didn’t I like it’s too variable to say to take it at like five or 10 cuz you don’t know where you’re going to get while you’re leveling, right? So you can see uh the uh you know, we’re going to have 84 AC, 84 hit points. It’s not a whole lot really. 25 strength and stuff like that. The leveling stats are not that great, but we should be able to kill uh the first tier of gods and stuff like that. And then I have some extra items down here, but they’re not as they’re more more or less the best in slot, which uh this is still a work in progress. This is best in slot for twohanded. Um now there’s there I do not have a haste item on it because I have not decided where I want to put the haste item. Uh now let’s see. Did I put it down here? I did not put the cloak of flames down here, did I? Oh, there it is. Right there. So, right now there’s no haste item. Um, and that is because it’s hard to get one in this in this loadout. Right now, I could uh you know, take out some of these items and swap them around uh to get different things, but right now I’m looking at probably the honeycomb belt at a plus 10 as our haste item. uh which will be uh you know pretty nice item here. Let me let’s show you this item. Uh so you know looks like [\h__\h] put it at plus 10. It’s 36% haste. Uh the haste gap I believe is 165 or 175. So if you add 50% haste from the bard song uh you’re at you know what 86% haste. So you should hit the haste gap and you get some nice stats out of that. So it just depends um which it goes with the you know the burning affliction right the the bone class riddle is usable by a druid and a bard and the honeycomb belt is a bard belt from sky so some there. Now, alternatively, I could drop the cloak of scales, drop a little bit of stats there, put the cloak of flames back on, and that’ll get us uh that’ll get us closer to haste cap at what, 46% haste. It’s 100 hit points. It’s a nice it’s a nice cloak. So, depending on, you know, where we uh where where we go with that, uh I haven’t really decided, but for the most part, everything uh everything looks good, right? Like, you can see these are going to be like the end tier items. uh the the different warrior gear and pretty much all this is like universal to a lot of builds. So you just switch around. This is with the two-hander here. Now um ideally once we get a dugass, we probably go dugass, right? This is 40 AC onehander, 13 strength, 12 agility, 200 hit points, 1.5 ratio, right? Uh pretty insane. I’d probably offhand it with the Serpent’s Tooth. Uh, if it loads, I guess it’s not going to load. All right, we’ll let that we’ll let that cook for a second. Now, the Serpent’s Tooth, this is 1327 right now, right? It’s just under the ratio here. Now, Bloodfire was an alternative I was looking at here, but it’s a 46. And I can take the I can take the dot off it and put it on here if I want. I would run I’d be running earthquake on the DAS, right? So, it just depends there. But, I’d probably be dual wielding this at at level 50 and that would be my my my raid loadout once we have that. Uh, which would then allow us to take one of these any slots and turn that into uh a different item. Uh, probably the belt of the four winds to, you know, max that haste out even more. Just put that in the any slot instead of the uh one of these items. and then uh you know put uh the other brass or string on the off hand, right? So, it just depends there. You it’s a lot of switch switching around and figuring out uh but the the having to have a primary in the primary secondary in the any slot so that you can uh pick up the bard focuses does limit us a little bit. But there’s a lot of different things to swap around and stuff like that. But you can see here, you know, we hit 231 uh AC, 280 hit points. This is a tier zero. I didn’t put these at ter, you know, at higher because it’ll, you know, it doesn’t really matter. But mana’s 325, 101 strength, uh 68 stamina, 61 decks, right? So, it gets up pretty high, right? Um, now you can see this this these like all double, right? So you you pretty much say say we would have 206 agility. Uh no, not 206. Yeah, we’d have 206 strength and we’d have uh uh you know what, 10 30ish stamina. So we we’d gain a lot from it um and whatnot. So it’s pretty nice. Uh now Fangle’s Breath is a 120 DD. I’d probably switch that with the Earthquake DD, which is a 214 AOE. uh depending on uh the situation, right? There’s different situations for different things. So, you you’d want to you you’d want to like think about those and stuff like that. But as you start scaling all these items up, they become uh pretty massive statwise there. But, uh that’s the, you know, the that’s the best in slot gear that I’m I’ve I’ve picked so far. Uh you know, it’s this is a living document, right? So, as I tweak, you know, tweak it and update it, it’ll be updated. The video won’t get updated, but the this this document will change. And if I get more comments about different items I didn’t talk about, right? Like, you know, you should go get the rubicide breastplate. It’s nice to have. Uh Paw has a whole bunch of good items up here and stuff that are worth to get if you want to get them. Um, like this one is a Let’s put it back at zero. It’s a 0.53 two-hander. It’s a one-handed blunt or two-handed blunt with stun. You know, you might like that. Uh, the great axe here. You know, this is a 0.5 ratio, 2652. This might be what I kind of go for um if I have time. Uh, but the bastard sword’s going to carry me for most of this, right? like it just depends. Uh everything is all about, you know, where you want to spend your time and stuff like that. And my goal, my goal right now is to get my three raid tokens before August 4th. Spend those most likely on the warrior breastplate. That’s probably where I’ll probably drop all three of them in all honesty. I’ll level it up as high as I can before uh the day before. And if I, you know, I get it where I get it, I get it where I get it. Right. getting that to plus 10 is going to benefit me, you know, the most I think because 70 AC is pretty like what is this like 35 to 70 AC? That’s insane, right? So, uh that is my revised plan. I still don’t know if I’m going enchanter or mage. Uh the mage camp is looking pretty pretty nice. Uh but the the thing is this the the enchanter one is looking really nice too because you get mess at level two, right? So you walk into you walk into uh befallen at level two and you can or not level two but you know level five when you get there, right? You can already mess everything and uh you’re pretty much going to be able to fight everything. The only downside I I I’m seeing is I have no way to heal. Uh, now from what I understand, the pet heals you, so that could be an option that we use there. Uh, but I don’t think the pet can tank. So, [laughter] it’s going to be interesting to see uh where we go with that. Uh, might be fun. If anything, like all we have to do is run back from uh there. But these these uh the sheets and stuff, they’ll be available on my website uh linked in the bottom of the description when this video goes live. And um if I don’t post a comment saying I did, if the audio sounds absolutely terrible, uh let me know and I’ll I’ll cry because I spent 46 minutes of my life recording this. But thank you very much for watching and please have a fantastic day.
